Farewell to Principle
The Republican Party has lost his soul. First we all thought that it was just W's administration tryin to rally some hardcore social conservative support in order to improve his plummeting popularity. Well, as it turns out, the Republican strategy for this fall's elections will be based on fear (a republican classic) and big government. Of course republican leaders won't say that they want a bigger, stronger and more oppressive government, but their recent strategy certainly suggests so. For example, flag burning. Even though it's true that not all Congress republicans advocated for such an asinine ban, most of them did. Well, first I'll start with some basic history about this controversy. The right to burn a piece of cloth is obviously protected under the First amendment. It's as simple as that. However, because there are lots of pussies who get offended easily in this country, the "nanny state" folks have tried to "protect" them. But it is not just with flag burning, but also with cross burning. Now, the Supreme Court with its ridiculous liberal bias, allowed a law that banned cross burning in Virginia but deemed unconstitutional a law that banned flag burning in Texas. Well, look y'all, this is America last I checked and if you wanna burn a cross or a flag, why on earth should the government impede you to do such a trivial action. So my message here is clear: stop whining. All of you. Conservative nuts or black bigots, I don't care, just stop being crybabies and stop eroding the principles our forefathers died to preserve. But I know that they won't stop, they will just keep on pushing. The problem though is that nowadays it looks as if these people control both parties, and this is probably one of the most troubling problems America is facing today. So my message to the Republican Party is, stick to your principle, and remember that there's more small-government republicans than crazy social conservatives. Stick to your real base.

Translation from Hysteric Rant speak:
"Whaaa! I know nothing except I am mad at the world because they do not do ONLY what I want. I hate everyone. They all suck because they don't do only 100% of what I want. Whaa why don't you only do what I want!!! Whaaa!!! WHAAAA!"
Another day, another mindless temper tantrum posted by one of the Freeper Fringes. Too bad for you we are a Constitutional Republic not your personal dictatorship. Gee sorry the world cannot be ordered to act exactly the way you feel it should be.

Ah I see. Just another Democrat "Virtual Campaigner" posturing as a "Betrayed Conservative" while spewing absurd hate the GOP talking points. So which Moveon.org seminar did you attend. The one lead by Moby or the one Mikey Moore held?
Or could it be you are just so politically ignorant you actually have NO clue that posting this sort of nonsense is the same as putting out a Democrat Party Campaign Ad?
Judges Judges Judges. On that issue ALONE the GOP has done MORE good for the Conservative movement then all the temper tantrums throw by the collection of politically ignorant "Bloggers" on the Fringe Right have, or EVER will do with their whining.
Have fun hanging out on the Politically Irrelevant fringes, the rest of us are to busy building the Conservative Majority to waste any more time on petulant temper-tantrums

The Republican Party has lost his soul. Striving to sound like an authentic Republican sexist oppressor? Aren't you cute.
To: albrock
Some staunch conservatives told me they might start burning flags if Congress puts off immigration reform until after the elections and resurrects the original proposals granting amnesty. I may join them. I didn't serve in uniform because of the flag. Every country has a flag. I served to protect our way of life.

exactly, and the freedom to burn things is part of our way of life.

lol ok so I'm a "democrat virtual campaigner" just because I believe in the basic American rights. clever. And yes of course the Republican majority has done great things when it comes to nominating and confirming STRICT CONSTRUCTIONIST judges. And you talk about a conservative majority, well lemme tellya som'n you are no American conservative, you're prolly another misled neocon statist that believes that government regulation can be used to accomplish your goals. Hey that's also a legitimate view dont get me wrong, but it's never been a republican principle. Bottom line is there used to be a small-government party that would keep the crazy statists (democrats) in check, but nowadays the GOP has morphed into something unrecognizable.
