The Value of Friends

The fun began yesterday with an early-morning draft of an article about potential friendships in the face of big moral disagreements. A slightly more strongly worded version---influenced by early morning and angry memories of an anti-American 9-11-01 email---was soon amended slightly, with the assistance of better angels. (Not before the original version stirred a little fun over at Free Republic, of course!) Since then, many have weighed-in, both by email and in the Comments section at the end of the post. (Many of the comments are impressively detailed and thoughtful!) And now, contributor Cheryl Felicia Rhoads---calling in a voice from 16 months ago---has added her two cents. It seems many people have strong feelings on the subject...
