Horsefeathers has taken note of the numerous signs of cultural decline evident in the visual, written and popular arts. Authors devote themselves mostly to navel-gazing memoirs, when they're not writing idiotic agit-prop denunciations of President Bush. 'Visual artists' create works devoted to display of their own excrement, and are hailed for 'creativity'. Popular music has become unlistenable for anyone who appreciates melody and lyrics. Movies are unwatchable, and even the art of invective has declined to the juvenile level of a Michael Moore. One of the few remaining practitioners worth reading is Christopher Hitchens...
