The ACLU and The Second Amendment

One would think that an organization that claims it's purpose is to protect our Constitutional rights would readily defend our second amendment. Sadly, this is not the case. The ACLU is completely absent in defending this right, and while it has not become active in fighting it, its policy clearly shows why they don't defend it....they don't believe in it!

ACLU POLICY "The ACLU agrees with the Supreme Court's long-standing interpretation of the Second Amendment [as set forth in the 1939 case, U.S. v. Miller] that the individual's right to bear arms applies only to the preservation or efficiency of a well-regulated militia. Except for lawful police and military purposes, the possession of weapons by individuals is not constitutionally protected. Therefore, there is no constitutional impediment to the regulation of firearms." Policy # 47

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

Can anyone see the contradiction between the Constitution's actual text with that of the ACLU?

CHAPTER 13--THE MILITIA

Sec. 311. Militia: composition and classes
(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied
males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of
title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration
of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female
citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.

(b) The classes of the militia are--
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

The Anti-American Communist Lawyers Union is a bunch of bloody hypocrites. US Federal law spells it out right there, THE PEOPLE are the unorganized militia. Maybe those worthless lawyers need to go back to their fancy ivy league law schools and hit the books while sober this time.

We called the ACLU office asking where to find their full policy...we got quite the run around and kept being referred to their website where the full policy guide of course is not there. When we told them we were from Stop The ACLU.Org we were quickly hung up on! go figure.
