The President has Legal cover to save Terri.

I encourage everybody who cares about Terri to repeat this fact to everyone you can as fast as possible.

When the judge diregarded a direct law and intent by Congress the President simply can send the National Guard or The Departament of Justice to simply eforce the LAW OF THE UNITED STATES. This is a perfectly legal way to save Terri now.

The law said to review the whole case again (de nuovo review) and the judge simply disregarded the law. The court is in contempt of Congress. Giving the President the complete legal cover he needs to act now.

A first-time poster, a vanity, and a new Terri thread. Joe, m'man, you've hit the trifecta.

Except that they didn't violate the law Congress passed. That law gave the jurisdiction of the case to the Federal Court. It did not require the reinsertion of the feeding tube.

A poorly written Bill and bad lawyering will result in Terry's death.

But Congress did subpoena Terri, making removal of the tube an act in contempt of Congress.

They're coming outta the woodwork.

My theory is with the divisiveness of the issue the enemy can make hay while the sun shines. They want the pubbies to embarrass themselves pandering to the whacks.

I think the law signed by Congress and the President just "requested" a denuovo review, it did not "require" one.

I'm sure that was the only was they could get some of the Dems on board.

The one who is in contempt of Congress is Judge Greer.

Yep. A lot of blinking going on. They are acting like a group of people in a room full of air-born iron filings.

making removal of the tube an act in contempt of Congress.

And do you know why there's no pending legal action on this point? Because it holds no water. The Federal Judge ruled that Congress's subpoena did not trump the myriad court rulings on this matter, all 20 of which have have had exactly the same result.

I don't want to see her die. I wish her husband took care of her better than he has. But HE IS HER HUSBAND, and as flawed as he might be, he's still the one who gets to make the final call.

Maybe you should write your congressman and tell them to pass a law that says a husband is the legal guardian of his wife, except in cases where the husband is found guilty of being a louse by the public.
