The former Vice-Governor from the province of Tin-Ah-Sea, the honorable Ahfsan Ali Al-Gori, who was the favored candidate to be elected as representative for his home region for the Peoples Democratic Party is demanding a recount in selected precincts of the region of Floafsondora. The recount is demanded due to what he says are questions and concerns over the voting methods and possible ballot confusion.
“The ballot was very confusing for me and many others” Mr. Al-Gori stated in a press conference. “It contained over 7,000 names from 12 parties. What is worse, My name appeared right next to the extremist Patafsah Al-Buchi. He is a madman, who demands equality for women.”
A spokesman for the PDP, Mr. Tehri Al-Macalful stated, “Indeed, sahib, the ballot was most confusing. It used the infamous post cocoon flying beetle ballot, the PCFB. This was most shrewd on the part of the opposition.”
When advised that representatives from the PDR participated in the design of the PCFB ballot, Mr. Al-Macalful replied. “That was what was so distressing that they were able to fool us this way, it was part of their plan all along. I do not believe that simply cutting off their hands will bring justice to our party and help us heal the nation. That would be too easy. We demand that all ballots be counted, fairly. If we cut off their hands, then how can we do this?

The Iraqi voter, most of whom have no formal education, were able to figure out a ballot with 256 different parties represented on it, yet, the Democrats argued that Blacks and old people could not figure out a simple butterfly ballot in the 2000 election. If I was Black or old I would take offense to being heralded as a race/group of idiots.
I'm leaning 60/40 that this is satire.
I heard Algore is contesting the election - something about too many Iraqis voted for Pat Buchannan.
