Politics as usual in Washington. Babs Boxer and John Kerry vote against Condi's confirmation. Nothing new, but is this about Condi becoming the next Secretary of State, or has it turned into the Iraqi WMD witch hunt?

Foolish Dems....Just another negative check mark for them and the continuation of their "We Hate Bush" campaign.

The Neo-Progs were attempting to imply that Condi was in charge of both the Defense Department
and the State Department for the past 4 years. They blamed Condi for everything but burning the stew in the melting pot.
Did anyone else notice the dismissive, soft little snort (ala a California "Valley girl") that Boxer was using near the end? She would use it right before introducing another snide and sarcastic anti-Condi remark. I mentioned the Boxer-snorts to my daughters and we all had a good laugh, as Boxer persisted in acting like a teenage 4th grade girl.

I don't think it's a witch hunt. It's a misguided grandstand. Abu Ghirab was the only issue that the Rats found seriously hurt Bush's approval numbers during the election cycle. They're going to ride that bicycle until the wheels fall off and the spokes are worn down to the nub, then get off and drag it another few miles.
I'll guarantee you there will be at least five major "news" stories about it, complete with synchronized talking points between now and the 2006 mid-terms. At least one of these stories will be about a single photograph that was "discovered."
