Is it possible that Americans are hopeful about Bush?

I was reading this past weekend about a poll that was done on the second Bush term. It made a little splash in the online mags, but that was about it. The Associated Press poll found that a majority of Americans are hopeful about W's second term in office, even though we are knee deep in the war in Iraq.

You may ask yourself, what happened to all the Democrats who were going to start a mass exodus to Canada? Or what about the folks in South Florida who are suffering from Post Election Selection Disorder (PEST), where are they represented in this poll? Sixty percent of people said they were hopeful about the next four years, and that is with half of those questioned who believed that our relations with other countries are worse than they were four years ago.
