Yes, but this week he got it right (though he forgot to mention the internet): he lost (and was a losing candidate from the start) because the liberal media no longer have a monopoly. Anyone who cared to know what Kerry was really like could find out from conservative talk radio, internet sites like FR, Sinclair's piece (or rather the internet postings of the full film they only excerpted), Unfit for Command and the Swiftboat Veterans ads.

His whole strategy depended on the MSM providing a smokescreen which would keep people from remembering his treasonous testimony before congress, his voting record, and the positions he had taken both in and out of the senate since returning from Vietnam. Thanks to the 'new media', even though the MSM dutifully played its assigned role, and never wrote about or broadcast his record, vilified the Swifties, and even went the extra mile with their lame attempts at October surprises, his strategy was doomed from the start.
