A turning point?
The American Thinker ^ | Nov. 20, 2004 | Thomas Lifson

Perhaps we have finally reached a turning point in which the Gordian Knot tying African Americans to the Democratic Party may finally be severed. The spectacle of white male leftists demeaning Condoleeza Rice as an Aunt Jemima, a black mammy out of Gone With the Wind, and a thick-lipped (!) bird (don't they have beaks?) may be the slap in the face necessary to wake up the majority of black people from their slumber in the tender arms of the left.

An extraordinary good read about the coming black backlash against all the slimey racists in the Democrat Party who are out to get Dr. Rice. And how blacks aren't going to put up with this ultimately. A very good essay!

But do most African-Americans care that people like Rice, Powell and Thomas are being trashed? Or have they been brainwashed to view African-American conservatives as simply beyond the pale and no longer "African-American"?

Fat chance!

The brain washing is way too deep.

I think it is chipping away. You can only get away with those attacks so much. When it becomes apparent that Democrats automatically use 'aunt jamima' and 'uncle tom' on every black Republican, it really looks racist. Condi is clearly an intelligent woman by any standard, these attacks will upset the moderate black voters.

It only takes a defection of a fraction of the Dems' black voter base to make this trend terminal to their party. It started in earnest in 2004. More erosion to that critical part of the Dem base will keep them out of the White House, and possibly out of the South, for some time. This isn't out of the question.

Peter Kirsanow, of the US Civil Rights Commission, is now on C-Span.

He's talking about this being a post Civil Rights Era in which some people insist on acting as though we are still in 1963 Birmingham.

I don't see much outrage. The NAACP-types still seem to be happy to live on the 'Rat plantation - without principle, ethics nor discerning self-interest.

It's ok for liberals to spew venomous racism. They can even have a former member of the KKK in the Democrat party! One word from Trent Lott, however....... Wake up America! The snooze button is broken!
