Yasser Arafat is dead
Posted on 11/04/2004 2:36:29 PM PST by John0309
Yasser Arafat chose to fight for his cause by killing, maiming, and destroying the lives of uncounted innocent men, women, and children. Regardless of the virtue of of the Palestinian cause, Arafat's method of fighting for it was monsterous. Let's hope God finds a special place in Hell for that bag of garbage.

Hard to know what's real with the Palestinians...but I heard on the news that they want 72 hours before announcing his death for security reasons- so in the meantime- they are just saying he's gravely ill.

He was dead before he wasn't. Well I've seen he's recovering, he's in and out of coma, he's brain dead, he's on life support, he's alive, he's in an irreversable coma, he's dead-dead...
The unreliability on this story is ridiculous.
My view of the 'tea leaves' is he's not technically dead but he's brain dead and is on life support to allow time for whatever political, security and financial arrangements folks feel necessary before announcing 'the obvious.'

If you take joy from someone's diagnosis of cancer, then you need major help.
It doesn't matter what side of the political spectrum you're on - a devistating illness requires EVERYONE to pull together.
I may not like Mrs. Edward's statements (made, by the way, in the heat of a long and tiring political campaign), but I'll pray for her recovery, and for her family.

I bet he's sorry he didn't strap on a bomb belt at the end and take a few Jewish women and children with him...

Yossarian, perhaps if your children, your parents, your family had been torn apart in bus bombs you might change your tune. If bits and pieces of your children were lying all over the street you might not be so gracious. It's easy for you to overlook other peoples horrible suffering at the hands of a monster like Arafat - so long as it's not YOU who is the victim.

Check post 14. I was replying to a since-deleted post that stated joy in the news of Elizabeth Edwards' cancer, equating it with the news of Arafat's demise.
Don't worry about any Arafat sympathies here - I almost got into a fist fight with a PLO supporter at my barbershop last night!

When he first too ill, Brit Hume described one of the photos as a Weekend and Bernie's moment.
The liberal guy, from Roll Call, Mort, I think, didn't believe Arafat would leave if he really felt his time was up. That Arafat wanted to die in "Palestine."
I don't know, I was thinking maybe the Massad got him.
It doesn't really matter, I just wish he would do one good thing for the world and die already. And tell me where his grave will be so I can dance and wee on it. LOL.
If he dies in Paris, I wonder if they'll bury him in the same place as Jim Morrison.
