Earth to JOE SCARBOROUGH....Come in JOE SCARBOROUGH
MSNBC ^ | 09/24/04 | MSNBC Transcripts

Posted on 09/24/2004 5:23:30 PM PDT by Arnold Zephel

Here is an excerpt from the transcript of Scarborough Country last night (Thursday September 23, 2004).

When I heard Joe say this during the broadcast my mouthed dropped. I was sure that I a had misheard it, so I checked the transcript today and here it is in black and white.

SCARBOROUGH: You know, Flavia, we have talked about this before.

That ad attacked George Bush for about 10 seconds.
I‘m just wondering, though, why they have taken so long to take off the gloves and go after George W. Bush. The Bush campaign has been going after Kerry nonstop for the past eight months.

Joe really needs to get his head out of Lawrence O‘Donnell's a$$. I have noticed Scarborough gradually moving left in his questions and rhetoric, but this comment is over the top.

Am I overreacting here? Am I just overly sensitive to media bias? Is Joe's comment accurate and justified?

I thought the same thing as well. Kerry's done two things for the past eight months: talk about Vietnam, and bash Bush.

Average Joe has been quite generous to Komrade Kerry over the last few months. Maybe his contract is up and he wants to make sure he's in for another year. He's also trying to sell a book.

Nah,Joe has just been trying to become an Honest reporter as O'riely has..they can't all be far left (rather) or far Right (hanninty)..i think Joe has been fair and bash both of them when he can,or praise them..He was very discouraged about the "games of washington" but nobody was more pro-bush in the 2000 Fla election. He was on all shows kicking and screaming it's over case closed from the first night

Average Joe tries to have it both ways. He's a schmuck.

While talking about Rathergate the other night he was apologizing for being a Republican journalist & assured his liberal media talking head guests that he could be balanced. I'd like to know why Joe & Bill O'Reilly think they have to bend over backwards to try to be fair & balanced when the MSM have been bending us over the other way for so long.

Because they are careerists first and not that serious about the issues.

Don't worry I plan on it, but last night he was covering Rathergate and I couldn't help myself.

That's not new, he's been saying this for at least a month. He's opened his show with a whole rant on the subject. Seriesly. pMSNBC hosts are required to suck up to liberals IMHO.

Kieth Oberman did a "M.Moore" kinda thing tonight showing Bush mentioning Abu Nidal killing Leon Klinghoffer at numerous campaign stops. It was Abu Abbas who did that killing. Oberman acted as if this was somehow important and Bush was really really stoopid. Boy did Oberman look stoopid.

I know what you mean. I thought Scarborough's coverage of the RNC was horrible, but he's been great on Rathergate.

Are you saying Olberman didn't understand the Abu Abbas connection? Klinghofer may have been the first act in the WOT.
