The Raving and Drooling Columnists of Newsday...

Pardon, the vanity, but for those of us in the Long Island/NY area who are on the right-of-center and are familiar with the pinko-rag known as "Newsday", you will know what I mean...

More baseless rantings from Newsday columnists...

Political ranting is fine. Most of us interested in the political realm are us little people who go blogging and do a lot of ranting on our little political soapboxes in the 'blogosphere'. But professional columnists really need to do a little more research - especially when they are writing for major newspapers - like Long Island's leftwing, environmental rag 'Newsday'.

Blind hate against Bush and "anything-GOP" has reduced people like Cheryl McCarthy and Marie (koo-koo) Coco to nothing more than leftwing little feminists posting their rants based on their emotions. I don't care how long they went to college. I don't care what kind of certificates they have. They are sad.

I bring to your attention today's column by Ms. McCarthy.

Bush Ignores Majority on Abortion

What "majority" is Ms. McCarthy speaking of? The majority of leftwing feminists? The majority of Planned Parenthood associates? She certainly can't be speaking of the majority of Americans, as polls are consistantly showing more Americans are becoming pro-life - Zogby Poll.

McCarthy writes "Pangia Macri, 50, an actress from Manhattan's West Wide, marched with thousands of pro-choice demonstrators across Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall on Saturday, because she wants the country to go forward, not backwards on reproductive rights"

"Going foward" into what? More killing of innocence? I have seen some of the people at these pro-abortion/anti-Bush rallies and many of them do not speak for mainstream America. Sorry. People holding signs that read "If only Barbara Bush would have had an abortion" and "I want to spit on George W. Bush". Yeah. If that's mainstream America, I'm Santa Claus. I have never witnessed such hateful and bitter people as those who attend pro-abortion rallies. And yes, they are leftwing by all means.

She goes on to say "Many Americans probably don't know it, but the Republican Party platform has supported a constitutional amendment banning abortion for 28 years now"

That's because most republicans are pro-life, genuis. And most democrats are pro-abortion. Your point?

She goes to say "After taking office, he cut off U.S. funds to the United Nations Population Fund, an exemplary program that supports groups that educate women in underdeveloped countries about their reproductive options"

Fact is Bush never "cut funding". He simply re-allocated the $34 million dollars to go to other international aid that does not involve themselves in killing babies.

She continues "He pushed for and signed a bill banning a late-term abortion procedure, even though two federal judges have found the ban unconstitutional"

Once again, that statement alone totally counters what she says in the title of her column. The majority of Americans are against late-term, better known as partial birth, abortion. So if anything, Bush is not ignoring the majority, but doing just the opposite.

Americans Agree with the partial birth abortion ban - Gallup poll.

And federal judges are supposed to uphold the law, dear, not make them.

If anyone bothered to educate themselves on what exactly partial birth abortion is, they would understand that it doesn't even save the life or the health of the mother in any way, shape or form.

In the partial birth abortion procedure, a physician delivers a baby to the point where only the head remains inside the womb but then punctures the back of the skull and removes the brain before completing delivery.

WHY are the brains removed before complete delivery? Because if the baby is removed completely, and then terminated, it would be murder. The only reason it is terminated while the head is still in the womb, is because that's the "loophole" for murder. As long as part of the baby is still inside the womb, it's the line between murder and a "medical proceedure".

Once the baby is out of the womb with the exception of the head, tell me... how would it endanger the life of the mother had the baby just been removed all the way and put on a life-saving machine instead of having its brains sucked out?

Answer that one!

The next few paragraphs are simply opinions of the author, Ms. McCarthy, coupled with opinions of other pro-abortion advocates. "Everything Bush does that is pro-life is wrong, because we say so. Because we think a woman should have the power to "choose" who gets to live and who does not so that we can not have to take responsibility of our actions. So we don't have to DEAL WITH IT"

She even bashes Bush for funding abstinence programs. As if teaching the kids how to put a condom on a cucumber is the answer.

I don't know where Newsday finds these people. If you take a look at all of Marie (koo-koo) Coco's columns, there is no mention of the evils of Islamic terror. No mention of the recent horror in Russia, nothing but pro-abortion, anti-bush rantings. These people are evil.

However, Ms. McCarthy does end her column on a positive note. A ray of hope.

"If Bush keeps playing this game, we will wake up one morning and find that legal abortion is gone"

....and what a beautiful morning that will be.
