Clinton Pleads No Contest To Drug Charges (crack cocaine paraphernalia)

Funk legend George Clinton has pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor drug paraphernalia charges in Tallahassee, Fla. Clinton, 63, was sentenced to 200 hours of community service and two years of probation. He was also fined $372 in court costs.

The musician was arrested in December sitting in a car near his Tallahassee recording studio; police said when they approached, he volunteered that he had cocaine in his pocket. He was found with a bag of crack cocaine and a glass pipe, police said.

A felony possession charge was dropped before yesterday's (Aug. 11) hearing.

Clinton, who is scheduled to begin a concert tour Aug. 27, hoped to teach free music education courses as part of his community-service work, said his attorney, Matt Willard. "He's a big supporter of the arts," Willard said.

Clinton pleaded not guilty in December, saying the arrest report was inaccurate and his arrest was unlawful.

That headline could almost be considered misleading, but I bet it gets a lot of views.

I think there's a typo in the story...It says "George" but should it be "Roger"?

I saw him in concert once (in Salt Lake City, of all places) with Parliament and it was sweet. My friend was his driver from the airport, and said in all his life he's never seen anyone more stoned.

Actually I`m still waiting for Bill. Let`s not forget who visited Carly Simon the day after her "personal assistant" was busted in 1998 for trying to pick up 3 pounds of coke in a New Jersey Airport, with Carly pleading after he was busted to "do everything she can to help him." I always use that story as an example when I get liberals telling me the media doesn`t give a pass to democrats. I mean just why exactly was the President of the United States visiting someone involved in a massive cocaine bust anyway? I bet most Freepers don`t even know about that one, that`s how buried it is. Do a search in any search engine, eventually you will dig it up. That`s the great thing about the internet, no matter how hard the elitists try to bury a story, the internet never forgets. Larry Lawrence is another example. I mean what`s that most dishonarable thing you could ever do to US vets? Read the Larry Lawrence story. Like I always say, Nixon had Watergate, Clinton had one Watergate a day, yet Nixon is eternally badmouthed and Clinton gets treated like a messiah.

Here you go...It seems I was mistaken. It was thirty one pounds of coke. I was curious to see if democrats are still trying to bury it, but it didn`t take long for me to find it. If you look a little more you will find out Bill visited her the next day....

"As reported in July of 2000, John Forte was arrested in a drug bust at Newark International Airport for charges on possession and conspiracy to distribute cocaine. The rapper/producer, who was down with the Refugee Camp and released an album, Poly Sci in 1998, was taped during phone conversations arranging to pick up cocaine, referring to it as 'ice cream' at the airport.

According to prosecutors, drug couriers were hired to transport cocaine from Texas to New York. The rapper was arrested after two women handed him a suitcase filled with 31 pounds of coke. He claimed that he thought the suitcase contained money and was picking it up for a friend. Carly Simon (a friend of the family) bailed out Forte for $250,000 shortly after the arrest. Forte was convicted in August and was sentenced to 14 years in prison earlier this month."

"Clinton...hoped to teach free music education courses as part of his community-service work, said his attorney,
Matt Willard. "He's a big supporter of the arts," Willard said."

This mouthpiece is another sound reason to kill all the lawyers when the revolution finally comes.
