Hi all. I am writing a letter to the editors at Al-Sabah to request a bit of a clarification on the story they released yesterday and again today on the supposed nuclear missile find. I am not accustomed to dealing with ME folks and would like the help of FReepers to word this properly so I might get results.

I'm trying to butter them up a bit in the letter, but I'm not real sure what might be either lost in translation or just look plain dumb. I'm also concerned about the wording of the questions being difficult to translate. If there are some questions you think I should ask in addition to the ones so far, please enlighten me. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Here is the letter so far:

Dear Al-Sabah Editors,

Your story yesterday concerning the nuclear missile find has drawn a great deal of attention in the American press and the American people. Some of us are not so confident in the quick dismissal by Iraqi Interior Ministry spokesman of your story as "stupid". It is unfortunate that he should disrespect your courage.

We at GoodNewsAmerica.us are interested in your reasons for releasing another story on the report. Perhaps it was lost in the translation, but it seems that you do not wish this story to go away. If you would please answer a few questions for a story we are writing, it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Is your trust you in your sources so strong that you are do not want the story to be kept quiet?

3. Have you or any of your employees been threatened or warned by authorities concerning the story?

2. Are there any more details concerning your discoveries that you have not revealed?

4. Do you expect to obtain any further details from your sources?

5. Do you expect any of the reports by your Iraqi Interior Ministry sources to be corroborated?

Your permission to print your answers at GoodNewsAmerica.us is requested. We promise to publish your response(s) in full along with our questions for full disclosure. Please provide your written permission in the email with your answers.

Most Americans wish the Iraqi people to be our friends and for your country to prosper in safety.

Your time and cooperation are appreciated.

Regards,
