It was white with no markings but it was definitely military, it just had that look.You know, the FAA has a number of small jets in their fleet, but, it couldn't have POSSIBLY been one of their jets out to take a look-see ...
I think the observer in this case was just plain, flat wrong in not noticing the so-called 'tail numbers' ...

That information will released just after the Kennedy Assassination information is "declassified." As long as the one party cartel runs things at the top, that will be the case, which is a damn shame in both cases.

True, but those working the USX Tower and one of the PPG buildings (tall building in downtown Pittsburgh) were told specifically to evacuate immediately (a plane was lost/hijacked over Cleveland and in Pgh. airspace.) It was widely reported here. Not saying it proves anything one way or the other, but it was widely reported here prior to the crash in Somerset.

WHAT HAPPENED TO FLIGHT 93:
The plane was hijacked. The passengers found out via their cell phones that this was no ordinary hijacking and they were all going to die. So the passengers rebelled and tried to take back control. They failed, but they did manage to at least cause the terrorists to lose control as well, and thus ensured the plane crashed somewhere where nobody else could be hurt. The end.
Remember that The Mirror is massively, totally, virulently anti-Bush, anti-Blair and anti-war. (And they've lost between 6 and 10% of their entire circulation, since they decided to position the paper as a liberal hate-based rag after 9/11.)

I'm not sure why the critics here are so vehemently insulting.Because dear, from where you sit you only see a SMALL part of the picture.
Do you know anything about RADAR?
Do you know anything about the Air Route Surveilance RADAR (ARSR) system the FAA employs to watch air routes?
Do you also know that most major aerodomes (large cities) ALSO have Airport Surveilance RADARs (ASR) with a ranhe out to sixty Nautical miles?
Do you know that HUMAN BEINGS actually watch these RADARs and would have WITNESED on their scopes what this author's article descibes - fighter planes in relatively close proximity?
These RADAR operators, then, are ALSO witnesses to this event.
No?

Thanks, and I'll check the 60 Mins 2 archives, as well as the 20/20 Thursdays, etc.
I figured it must have been an interview by one of the "main stars". So far, though, I can't find any interview with the Secretary, which does seem alittle odd. I remember seeing a short interview or two with him myself, but I don't remember any statement like the one you said you heard.
Personally, I don't believe that plane was shot down. I believe it would have been, had the passengers not intervened and tried to take control of the airplane.
I guess it is possible that the familes of those on board were bought off and coached on how to tell a story of speaking to their loved ones planning to take over the plane, etc. But when weighed against actual kook-theorists and their cottage industry of anti-anything-government (not to mention monetary profit), I'm with the educated & reasoned percent of the population.
But open to *documented* Facts!

At least SIX witnesses, including Susan Mcelwain saw a small military type plane flying around shortly BEFORE UA93 crashed. The FBI denies its existence.Standard FBI operational procedure.
Passenger Edward Felt made an emergency call from the plane. He spoke of an explosion and seeing some white smoke. The superviser who took the call has been gagged by the FBI.

The FBI insists there was no military plane in the area but at 9.22am a sonic boom - caused by a supersonic jet - was picked up by an earthquake monitor in southern Pennsylvania, 60 miles away from Shanksville.
