Such profanity!

The boy seems angry. I’d suggest psychiatric help. And learning how to speak in public without sounding like a teen in the hood.

Spike Lee: a filmmaker who has made his reputation by plumbing the bottomless shallows of “ripped-from-the-headlines hot-button “issues”. He’s the poor man’s Oliver Stone. And he doesn’t know the first thing about what actually happened at the Charlottesville rally, and how cynically staged it was.

Spike Lee is just playing for the cameras. His parents paid $40,000 for their townhouse in Fort Greene back in 1968. My parents paid $20,000 for our home in Boston in 1970. We were solid middle class and Brooklyn had far cheaper neighborhoods with comparable prices to Boston. Fort Greene next to Brooklyn Heights as always been a fairly good neighborhood even during the 1970’s.

You touched on something there.

I think blacks who were born into a middle/upper class upbringing feel guilt about that, and they have a strong need to show the world that they are “down with the shtruggle”.

"The United States of America was built on the genocide of native people and slavery," Lee said. "That is the fabric of the United States of America."

This is what it boils down to: a hatred of the US from its very inception (as if every other country wasn't founded on violence, war, slavery, oppression, and the genocide of whoever had it before.) And if you insisted that Spike Lee -- or anyone like him -- find you a country with none of that, he wouldn't be able to, but it wouldn't change his attitude, and I think I have figured it out:

Some people actually enjoy the emotion of hatred. They are naturally destructive. They are the kids who kick down other kid's sandcastles, because it feels good. Some people like building something, but these types like tearing it down. And we do need both types. We need demolition to clear the way for new construction.

But we have to remember that these demolition types cannot be the decision makers, because they simply destroy whatever they come upon. They can't discriminate or judge accurately because their only real urge is to destroy, so they will always find reasons. But they are best kept on a short leash and managed by someone wiser than themselves.

The fact that Spike Lee even rates Cannes tells me all I need to know about that event.

"I think there is blame on both sides," Trump said. "You had a group on one side that was bad. You had a group on the other side that was also very violent. Nobody wants to say that. I’ll say it right now."

The truth hurts, and Trump telling the truth sure is a wake up call to the liberal haters that they can keep lying however, we're on to their lies and hate speech.

Since when did the KKK allow Republicans in it?

They started as an organization to keep Republicans from voting.

Do the Right Thing is one of my top 10 movies of all time. (”Sal! How come you ain’t got no brothers on the wall?”). It would make a very good play, too (not a musical!). His other movies range from passable to (mostly) awful.

As the Rosie Perez character said to the Spike Lee character in Do the Right Thing, "Get a life!"

I don’t understand how he is still even making movies. When was the last time a movie of his even made a profit?
