This New York mom has gone from porn star to the pulpit. Crystal Bassette, 33, ditched her lucrative career in the porn industry and her lavish Los Angeles lifestyle to become a church pastor in the small town of Fulton, New York.
“It is definitely the ultimate change. It’s going from one extreme to the next. I had to get away from this whole life,” Bassette told Barcoft Media, referring to her 10-year stint doing porn.

I’d be doubtful of the content of her preaching. Is it from a worldly (human) perspective or a Godly perspective rooted in the Bible? Someone who says “I can’t really regret what I did because it’s made me who I am today” probably doesn’t know that forgiveness only comes with repentance.
Women should not be pastors, but we can all be thankful that she has left the smut industry. So many are trapped in it, in both production and consumption.
I hope and pray the transformation is genuine. God can do anything!

somehow one wonders how sincere this all is. At 33 she is too old for porn, so she transitions to another presentation based income steam. In the first career she was selling fake sex, now she is selling fake enlightenment.

But I am an older cynical man when it comes to such stuff.

I was alarmed by it.
But this guy tends to not take blame for anything.
If he offends someone, it's their fault for being offended.
He'd give you the shirt off his back but when it comes to taking responsibility for his actions, it just isn't there.

I cannot imagine a starker contrast. The culture shock is going to be with her for a long time.
That is NOT a place to go to scam people and make a living as a televangelist or any other kind of scam people ministry. There's no money or fame to be had in Fulton..
It's a drug infested, welfare hell hole in Upstate NY and boy, does it need to hear the gospel.
Trust me on that.
I don’t want to judge if someone is righteous or spiritual enough, or repentant enough, but when they become a preacher they take on extra responsibility. It’s what they teach others that becomes the issue.
