Much of the state is federal land. Try Cheyenne or Casper.
As of last night the whole country’s California. There’s nowhere left to go.
Canada.
Its far more capitalist than the US will ever be again.
Slavery cant dominate their politics.
Lowest Corp Taxes.
Consider Utah. I left CA for Southern Utah almost 10 years ago, and have not regretted it one bit, and I also need just an internet connection to work.
Wyo just passed an initiative that stops enforcement of Obamacare.
If you can handle the cold, you will be ok.

I’d like to ask other enterprising CA freepers how to stay in CA and not have your business affected by these taxes. What kinds of out of state businesses can be run from here?
My parents need me. My kids are entrenched. I cannot leave, and I just moved to the beach so I am happy here. The weather is perfect and I saw dolphins yesterday.
Those of us who are staying, what can we do? Besides learn Spanish.
a) The cost of living is quite high - the cost of food can be high. It has to be trucked in.
b) the state economy is tied to coal, CBM, oil and gas in the majority, and the ag sector, tourism and small business in the minority. When the oil/coal/gas prices are down, the state tax revenues fall off quickly.
c) The winters range from hard to “holy crap!” levels of hard. In the northwest area of the state, if you don’t know how to handle yourself in -20F temps with blowing snow, you might want to think very carefully before buying property there. In the southeast wind “triangle”) (Laramie, Casper and Cheyenne), the winds can and do regularly hit 60+MPH. I’ve driven through winds on the interstates in those areas where I’ve been driving into a 70+ MPH wind. I’ve seen semi trucks blown off the road. Between Cheyenne and Laramie, trains have been blown off the tracks. So if you’re thinking “Oh, pish-posh - wind... we’ve all lived in areas with breezes...” you’re completely missing the point. If you’ve lived in Florida and gone out walking as a hurricane is coming ashore, then you’ve seen this level of wind. The thing is - in Wyoming, we get these winds about every other week during the winters.
3. Cost of housing can be high in some areas.
4. Rock Springs has a for-real meth problem.
5. Taxes - no state income tax, sales taxes are relatively low. Real estate taxes vary all over the place.
6. Eastern side of the state can and does see tornadoes in the summer. Once you’re ... oh, about 50 miles east of Casper, and from Casper north to Montana... you’ll get some hellacious thunderstorms coming through in the summer. Very entertaining.
‘net service is all over the place, but expect outages. There’s not much redundancy in the ‘net in Wyoming, so when the usual outages happen... you can see large chunks of Wyoming go silent on the ‘net.
There is only the Union of Socialist States in America.
no advice but want to tell you well done.
I got my wife out of liberal MA as we knew our votes were wasted, our tax money goes to liberal issues thus she moved and she said it was the best move she ever did.
We now live in a swing state knowing we are helping now.
Imagine if every conservative in the liberal states moved to swing states.
The liberal states would lose the tax money, millions move and the swing states become more conservative and push up the electoral count
Teton County has relatively high property taxes.
Wyoming is an awesome state with mostly awesome people. The major towns are cool. However, stay out of Jackson because of the damn CA liberals that have moved there and stay out of Rock Springs because it looks like the aftermath of a nuclear holocaust.
I left the USA right after Clinton won in ‘93 and have not lived in the USA since.
I have done a number of things too, including Internet.
Lots of attractive places to live on this planet.
Our country is done.

I made the jump from CA in 2008. Went to CO. This is still a battleground state, but now leans left due to lack of solution on illegal immigration among other reasons. Still the people are friendly and good neighbors, outdoors and fitness minded, public schools good. Not as union dominated as CA.
Come on down to the Missouri Ozarks.
Low taxes, deer, turkey, great fishing, low taxes.
You can shoot your gun, shoot great big firecrackers, land is inexpensive. Four seasons (although summer can be hot and humid.)
Did I mention low taxes ?
Texas is really nice, too!!!
Good for you. There must be better places than Kalifornia.
Even up here is tons better.
How about Arkansas? How about the Ozarks?
Thanks to all for the replies. And thanks to some for the PM’s. Will be looking into my escape.
