So, who do we vote for?
Lastly, we’re having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff.
***So can I come off probation now? All of my posts are under review for the last several days, and freepmail not allowed because I’m “too new” to use it.
I appreciate your stance and sticking to your principles. I like Ryan but I still will not vote for Romney.
I am sorry about the Admins.
Wow, like this post surprised me. Don’t complain if Obama wins, when you choose to sit out.
“May I add that this louder and louder hate speech toward Romney will work to suppress the conservative/opposition to Obama? With that on the table, it becomes likely that there really are soem who want the destruction to happen, to teacvh the GOPe a lesson at the expense of the death of the Republic. These posters will attack you for pointing out that IN YOUR OPINION four more years of Obama will end free elections and tip the scales of government dependents beyond what can be overcome even if conservatives turn out to vote in record numbers.”
Looks like you’ve made the fateful leap from conservative to lib Mr.”Hate speech.” As for “ending free elections,” how exactly is he going to do that? Half of the States would secede from the Union if that happened. The rest would be filled with internal strife and revolution. Let’s face it, 4 years of Romney = 4 years of Obama, and on top of that the schmuck is going to ask us to vote for him for another 4 years. That’s almost 10 years of Progressive rule, and you think a phallic victory over one man, Obama, is going to do something? It’s bigger than Obama. It’s about the ideology behind Obama. And, fact is, that ideology has already secured the White House. It’s time to look to 2016 and work where we are able to remove the RINOs from the ground up.
Nonsense. Romney will be bound by an increased conservative majority in the Congress. Obama will know no such bounds. Return to Earth, your oxygen is running low.
I’m expecting the drooling and fainting to start immediately.
*Sigh*
Just as a test, Jim could try a fake-out in which he says he has been convinced, he will get out the biggest clothespin he can find and vote the (R) for president.
NOW we can watch the reactions and gauge for ourselves who is the most overwrought!
Yes, although that is a separate matter from the topic of this thread. I didn’t get involved in that other matter and didn’t realize it had bled onto this thread.
I agree with you completely. I was shocked to read Mr. Robinson’s very unchristian post and will move on to other conservative websites. I also would like to thank the two moderators who objected to Mr. Robinson’s bigotry.
let me add my voice to Jim’s. There is no way that I’ll voluntarily eat a crap sandwich, no matter how much mayo...
You are absolutely right. Plus he gets the "support" of people like John Boehner and Chief Justice Roberts which makes it even easier.
So I really dont see any downside to staying home and washing ones hands of the Republican party, nor any upside to voting for these clowns.
***I agree, but what do you mean by “the 2nd is doomed as long as the GOP continues to nominate Catholics to the court”? What does being catholic have to do with anything?
Severa, I'm older than you. By the time you reach my age you learn that every politician sooner or later gives you the creeps.
You choose the one who will do less damage and advance to a further degree what you believe in. (If you want to get to point Z, would you prefer to start at point M or point A?) Then you fight, and keep fighting the rest of your life, to make things better.
What you don't do is give up, get angry because you differ on some issues with a particular politician, and let the SOBs take over, knocking you back to point A.
It constitutes the entire last paragraph of Jim’s article that starts this thread.
Romney wouldn’t drive that. Where’s he supposed to put the dog?
As a matter of strategy, the game is to hold on to what ever power you have and fight a retrograde campaign rather than surrender. This gives you the opportunity to regroup and come back to win. Our presidential elections are often close. Several percent of wasted votes will give Obama the presidency. Holding your nose and voting for the lesser of two evils gives us the opportunity to strengthen the Tea Party and get more conservatives in the House and Senate.
Letting your faith blind you to strategy and taking a lot of supporters along with you could be enough to put Obama back in the White House. Just think of the next round of executive orders outlawing right wing websites and talk radio. JR, you are not doing us a favor. Pragmatism has its virtues.
“Isn’t great to watch JimRob-that great purveyor of Christian virtues-tolerate the image of Romney dressed up like a spastic Mormon missionary by JoeProBono. So now FR mocks members of another faith. Hey Jim, have you ever thought that many of your loyal FReepers are Mormons? But hey, i guess it doesn’t matter; Mitt’s a Mormon, and this makes the bashing of Mormons (Hard working Americans) ok in your book. Just wow.
And Jim can sit here and lecture us about Christ? It is sad watching this site go down this twisted path...it really is.”
The LDS is a large, deceptive, and destructive religious cult which is an insult to God. Mind, they aren’t the BIGGEST one, and there are many. You won’t catch me apologizing for Mormonism just for politics though. Your own lack of reasoning on this matter, embracing emotionalism, is your own “twisted path.”
