A local Ft. Collins man was charged with sexual assault and "domestic violence harrassment" after his wife complained to police that on numerous occasions in the past year she awoke at night to find him "having sex or oral sex" even though she had told him this seemed like rape to her. The husband also admitted to taking nude photos of her while she slept.

There are a variety of reasons why a woman might not be interested in sex - anything from headaches to bad days. If a woman is perpetually not interested, I would suspect that would cause problems in the marriage, but I wouldn't want my wife having sex with me just because "it's the right thing to do.">
This is just my opinion of course, but Satan knows this whole process. This is why Paul took up the topic in the first place. A loving husband will understand a few not interested and "mutually agree". However, once it moves to his needs are 2nd to her no interest... Satan moves in and the marriage will head down hill....every time.

Eh... he'd made comparisons between wives and prostitutes, and commented to the effect that prostitutes were a better deal. Since he then began talking confidently about his wife -- and seeing as how he has an eye out for a good deal -- I figured he must have the best of both worlds.
If this is what he's like in real life, I feel sorry for the woman who has to put up with him.
While watching a news story on TV about the pastors wife in Tennessee that shot and killed her husband, I told my wife that if it ever got bad enough with her I would just divorce her, not kill her.
I'm hoping after reading this that I can secure from her a promise that if it ever gets that bad she will divorce me rather than have me arrested for charges of rape. This guy could end up going to prison for a number of years.
Even if she hates him now, presumably she loved him at some point, and this seems like a pretty extreme way to end a marriage.

Are you suggesting that a marriage license perhaps creates a legal obligation for a woman to spread her legs for her husband, no matter what?
Are there any other things that would be crimes outside of marriage, that the government should leave alone within it -- beatings, perhaps?

Sharing a bed with someone in a marriage relationship is an indication that you've agreed to have sex with them.
