Asa Hutchinson on John and Ken, KFI640 (Live Thread)
The John and Ken Show (KFI 64.0, Los Angeles) | truthkeeper

Posted on 07/08/2004 4:08:45 PM PDT by truthkeeper

After being inundated with calls from L.A. listeners, Asa Hutchinson has agreed to go on the show. He's on right now, so be there or be square. Will try to type the good stuff while I listen.

Yes they were deader. I think the sweeps are good and just the number of illegals that would be forced to birth their children back in Mexico over time is worth it to us.

I live in the Midwest and illegal immigration is not an overwhelming problem here. And, I'm not making any editorial comment about the importance of the issue or the emotion surrounding it. I'm just saying that this interview (well the last 10-12 minutes that I heard) did nothing, IMO, to help your cause. It was taunting and bullying, plain and simple. To neutral observers, Asa Hutchinson was the object of verbal abuse from a punk shock jock. I'm not sure that John is the great ally you think he is. That's all I'm telling you.

Since you are not from Calif. then you don't know how much John's shock and awe has helped on a lot of local issues. I hope he keeps the fire turned up on their Federal butts.

Your Feinsstein/Boxer like hissing doesn't intimidate me one bit, fluffy.

By all means, don't be intimidated. Keep posting, just as you have.

Continue to reach and grasp at any straw possible to avoid coherently addressing the topic, which is Asa Hutchison's job performance with regard to interior enforcement of our immigration laws against Illegal Aliens.

Did Boxer and Feinstein make him derelict in his responsibilities?

If you've got evidence of that, you should alert President Bush.

Or do you think President Bush also opposes interior enforcement?

"It was taunting and bullying"

I wish I had been doing the interview, Asa would know what verbal abuse really was!

Again Dane, I've heard them say they would like to see Boxer go on their show. They also said it was good when Arnold took on the liberals over the budget.

They are not perfect though and in some cases are not conservative.

On taxes, immigration, the California budget and governor, they are conservative though.

When individual people (not automatic machines) choose to call with individual concerns, why is that a DOS attack?
Because it denies service.

Let's say a huge bunch of freepers were using all of FR's resources so that the next person could not log in to read the news. (unlikely). Is that a DOS attack? The freepers who are using FR would be getting service, even if the next person is denied access.

Likewise, the callers to DHS are getting service -- they're leaving messages for the DHS expressing their individual concerns. When each person finishes, his call is disconnected and he no longer uses the limited resources. They're not coordinating an attack so as to deny services to everyone; it just happens that perhaps many more people have concerns than the DHS number was designed to handle during certain times. Besides, the J&K show goes on after the Eastern business day ends.

Again, Feinstein and Boxer have no control of the continued invasion of millions into Arizona, Utah, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia, South Dakota, North Carolina, Washinton, Colorado, Texas etc etc......

They are United States Senators. As such, they help determine the budget of the Border Patrol. They help determine which specific Border Patrol programs are funded and not funded. They help draft the laws that the Border Patrol operates under. They frequently intervene on behalf of campaign donors who have a problem with the Border Patrol apprehending their gardener or nanny.

THEY ARE FEDERAL BORDERS, *CONTROLLED* BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

And Boxer/Feinstein are our Senators. They help determine how the federal government operates...including how they operate border security.

This says it all. At least you are man enough to say where you live, unlike some of the others who enjoy lecturing Californians on the issue when we actually LIVE with it every day.

Walk a mile in our shoes sometime.

Ah, I see.

Can someone call your phone and leave a stream of obscenity-filled rants, and continuously redial, and claim that it's not a denial of service to you?

I agree that John does tend rant and I don't agree with everything he says, but he's spoken out against Fienswine and Boxcutter quite frequently> J & K were also very effective in recalling Governor Dufus and fighting aganst Driver's Licenses for illegals.

In this case I think they proved the Emperor has no clothes.

Sheesh did I get transported to DU? You are using the same lame argument they do about michael moore. How can you criticize his movie without actually seeing it, blah, blah, blah, wahhhhh.

Daniel, for the last two days, some on FR have been praising John and Ken as the second coming for their taking on Asa Hutchinson.

I can't help it with you all want to put your head in the sand over John and Ken's obvious silence about their hoime state Senators, Feinstein and Boxer.

As I suspected.

You have no idea what they've said about Feinstein and Boxer because you never listen to them.

Now you're feigning indignation in an attempt to cover up for your ignorance.

It is not really presumtious to assume the head of the border patrol who worked his way up from an agent knew more about his job than you do.

I have no idea how many illegals crossed during his time but he made the point that his budget was far too small to do the job. This was either on "meet the press" or a similar show. It was many years ago but I was impressed with his straight forward answers.

FWIW, I have spoken to Asa in person several times and this was a "shock-jock" job.

Asa is a perfect gentleman and wrestling on the floor in public is not his style. He is an extremely intelligent and able man dealing with a horrendous and huge problem never faced by any of his counterparts before him.

I say that because the immigration problem has gotten so uncontrollable that if both bodies of gubmint agreed 100% tomorrow morning to throw the entire national might in securing our Southern Border with Mexico it would take at least several years to begin seeing the results throughout America.

Asa is taking the heat, and that's good. But he isn't the one who lit the fire.

Then why the free pass for her. Hutchison has the class to go on and gets reamed on FR, while Boxer cowers in the corner and nothing is said.

Right now, John is going over the two amnesty plans, Kerry's and Bush's, and is appalled at both of them.

As am I.

Or will it be more distraction from you?

You know it's going to be more smoke and distraction. That's what leftist do.

We are paying the federal government billions, and they are not doing their job! We are supporting this #$@&^ BS with our own money! I am confident, many are reaching their BS limit.

I take it from your posts that we in Calif. have no right to go direct to the Fed govt source (DHS) with our grievances, but must first go through proper 'channels' ala Feinstein and Boxer?
Thank you, but I prefer to go direct to the source.

Then how come John isn't in a tizzy and asking his home state Senators Boxer/Feinstein to come on his show and explain her support for kerry's plan?

JMO, acquiesence in his silence, IMO.
