The John and Ken Show (KFI 64.0, Los Angeles) | truthkeeper

Posted on 07/08/2004 4:08:45 PM PDT by truthkeeper

After being inundated with calls from L.A. listeners, Asa Hutchinson has agreed to go on the show. He's on right now, so be there or be square. Will try to type the good stuff while I listen.

It would be a DOS attack if J&K had a computer constantly sending useless data or requests that occupied the DHS servers to prevent real people from calling or connecting to those servers.

A relative few malcontents making obscenity-filled phone calls to a few phone numbers fits the definition of "constantly sending useless data." I've heard about some of the calls. Asa should've played them on the air.

When individual people (not automatic machines) choose to call with individual concerns, why is that a DOS attack?

Because it denies service.

I surmise you are a staffer in either the Boxer or Feinstein office, seeing how desperately you(and John and Ken) want turn the converstaion away from them.

By that logic, you must work for Asa Hutchison or President Bush.

Which?

Obviously, you don't have a dog in this fight(not from a southwest border state). We here in So. Cal. are sick of it and the wishy-washy pols, who won't enforce the law.

I'm a Respiratory Therapist at a L.A. area hospital.
60% of all mothers giving birth at this facility cannot speak english, most have no prenatal care, Even if we find out that a patient is illegal, we are not allowed to report it thanks to HIPPA regs.

When did you get elected to speak for the American people?

I'm just relaying the feelings of the consistent 70-75% of Americans who in poll after poll express their opinions on the subject of illegal immigration by saying yes to improved border security, yes to improved interior enforcement of our immigration laws, and yes to cracking down on employers who hire illegal aliens.

In actuality, the issue barely registers a bleep on the radar of electoral issues, never has.

The subject of illegal immigration is integrated into many other issues. Illegal immigration affects jobs, public school overcrowding/student performance, pollution/enviormental issues, medical costs, hospital emergency room overcrowding/closures, housing, crime/jails, entitlement costs, etc.

You stop anybody on the street and ask them what's more important to them: keeping their job or having our government round up illegal aliens. I'd estimate about 99.9% of the people you ask would say keeping their job is more important to them, as it should be. Americans tend to place more importance on issues that affect them directly as opposed to issues that affect the country as a whole.

They suggested a move against Boxer, but were a bit puzzled as to who Jones was elected by Republicans to go against them.

You know these are good guys, they got Arnold in at a time we needed Davis out and when Simon was having loyalty issues.

I have no idea how they would secure the borders but I heard the former head of the Border Patrol many years ago say it would not be difficult to stop illegal immigration.

Since he wouldn't be doing the work, yeah, it wouldn't be difficult for him.

Maybe I should manufacture INS T-shirts for the public in California to wear that are not of any official color or style like the actual border patrol. Just good enough to spook all the illegals if they see them on people walking around.

Funny, I've had that same thought many times. GMTA. BTW, were the streets a lot deader in your area for the three weeks those "sweeps" were going on? They sure were in our part of SoCal.

Huh, I guess Feinstein and Boxer don't exist to you in this arguement.

I can understand why since you are probably one of their lackeys.

Put away that gun, while you've still got a foot.

Hewitt has no time for the hominids on the whack job ideological fringes. Neither do I. See ya.

Yes, poetry from Tarzana Joe is so much more important.

If they can round them up in other areas of the country, they sure as hell can ship them off from California.

Send them to Saudia Arabia perhaps and let them ask for gardening and labor work there.

Here's some more details of how your republican party is working to ensure your children's quality of life here in Amexico

Huh it seems that you are mighty silent, like John and Ken, on the other political party that has had the majority hand in making this mess, the democratic party.

Oh that's right, they don't exist in Daniel world. They actually do and your silence about that fact says to me that you are aiding and abetting thier cause and wish to keep the focus off them.

And when the DHS has to divert some of its resources away from border enforcement into coping with an ongoing denial-of-service attack, you'll be happy, right?

Had the DHS not diverted its resources away from the interior sweeps at the behest of pro-Illegal lawmakers, their phone lines and e-mail boxes wouldn't be jammed.

I'd love to see his CONOPS for adequately securing 19,862 miles of border. How many multiples of the US GDP would he ask for as his budget?

I have.

You've broken the code.

In order to hear them rail against Feinstein, Boxer, et al, they'd first have to listen to the show.
