"I eventually gave up & just
let them jump on the couch.
They wouldn't let me leave
till I read them some bedtime
stories, Zombielina, Sleeping
Zombie & Zombie in Wonderland."
Now I know why your brother speaks so highly of you!
Funny GIRL!
Ach!
D'oh!
I mis-read.
Sorry .
Thought you typed "in it"!
( since so many people try to liven up their dull wretched lives by hanging out here)
Hi there , anyway!
DC, Do I have to ping Darks over here?
Are you behaving?
Tia! What are you doing here?
And how is my favorite FReeperette? (Caitlin)
Can I get a Margarita? My head still hurts a lot..
Yeah, I would imagine that getting drunk would be one of the ways to pass the time during the journey. But keep in mind that the colonists would be anticipating a colder climate, and would probably take advantage of the ice around them for some space-enhanced winter sports.
Ice skating, tobogganing, perhaps even arranging that zero-gee swimming pool during transit. If the 'berg is spun for gravity, just put it at the center.
Truly, the trip of a lifetime.
I'm gonna watch Fellowship of the Ring
Presciousssss!
Good night! :O)

I would like to offer my services for the first trip. (If someone could please tell me what my services ARE!)
I am more of an Aries than a Taurus, so I get bored easily...
[Ummm...help me out, here...]
Got done watching cartoons!
And freepmailing with Fedora talking about cartoons!
"Simpsons Tree-House of Horror"! and "King of the Hill"
Let's see what i can find...
(Hope you like green....)
and Caitlin is great and thanks for asking!
YOU'RE A DEAD HEAD!
Computers can exhibit massive amounts
of resistentialism. Especially when you're
trying to download something & it
"conveniently" decides to crash. Or the
lid for the blender refuses to be secured
properly, causing your fruit smoothy to
fly about the kitchen. Or even that
chair that ALWAYS catches your toe.
Behave? He never told me I had to BEHAVE here.
Well, I'm not a great fan of whiskey, but I do like (Scots) whisky. ("Whisky" -- Gaelic "uisge beatha" -- pn: "OOshka Bay-ah" -- means "water of life": same meaning as "akvavit.") De gustibus non dispudanum est.
"Oh, I get it!
YOU'RE A DEAD HEAD!"
And what's wrong with like The Grateful Dead?
Try THIS: There is plenty for everybody, me having the Magic Blender and all"
Thanks, Tia...I hope you did a "double" in it...I'm really hating this headache now...and A CA Guy is making me wish I had a magic wand to "blender" him out of this thread.
AIIIEE!
That was articulate!
Um. I was quite the swimmer in my day, but I can't say which I would fear more: zero-gee pools (without SCUBA gear), or frozen pools (any gravity.
"In the meadow we can build a scarecrow.
And we'll pretend that he is Orson Wells.
He'll say 'here are martians'
We'll say.."
I'd batter cut it off right there.
Zero-gravity swimming? Isn't that for fish?
