Here's the recipe, courtesy of Capt. Archie Butt, Military Aide to Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft.

Butt made major in 1911.

Ten quarts of double cream whipped very stiff
Twelve dozen eggs
Six quarts of Bourbon whisky
One pint of rum.

Here are his instructions:

For one dozen eggs, use one quart double thick cream, nearly one quart of whisky and two tablespoons of Jamaica rum. Beat the yolks to a cream, add a dessert spoon of sugar to each egg, and whip again. Then add whisky and rum slowly. The cream should be whipped very stiff, and so should the whites of the eggs. When mixed it will remain indefinitely without separating.

Oh, the hxxx with cholesterol, what are mere twelve dozen eggs (12x12=144. 144x250 m.grams of saturated fat) gonna do to me anyway that I haven't done to myself already.

So drink up, I say, while repeating the usual New Year's resolution to quit drinking, etc.
My resolution? NOT to make any that I can't keep, so I ain't making any.
