There are no war crimes if you win.
There are, but you’re unlikely to suffer consequences unless you lose. In case you don’t win, it behooves you to learn the rules.
Geneva Conventions have many versions, and the US is party to only one which is 1949.

On another note, Biden’s short term destruction of international treaties is on full display in Ukraine, which covers the civilians being forced now to fight for the Ukrainian armed forces from all over Europe:

If security allows, civilians must be
permitted to lead normal lives.
They are not to be deported or interned—except
for imperative reasons of security.
If internment is necessary, conditions
should be at least comparable to those
set forth for prisoners of war.

military-related work for an occupying

The various European governments are arguing these very clauses of the Geneva Conventions when as it pertains to sending Ukrainians back to Ukraine to serve in the AFU which is almost certain death.
In the past 6 days along, from last Thursday to this Wednesday morning Ukraine has lost over 8,000 men and women killed.
Many European politicians are defending the rights of Ukrainian men who oppose the Ukrainian government. Many oppose the war. Many oppose the Coup leadership or lack of elections. All reasons factor into EU governments problem in dealing with the Ukraine war.
There are no rules in war if you’re losing. That’s reality.
I gave Law of Armed Conflict briefings to the troops for 30 years. The conflict I always had was that if only one side recognizes and obeys the rules, that side is at a tremendous disadvantage.

...hey....it’s all gonna be moot anyway... read on another web site that Ukraine will soon be brought into NATO and by so doing will be the launch of World War III.....Russia has said many times it would not tolerate a NATO-membered Ukraine on its border....will see...maybe this is all smoke and mirrors and empty talk....

I define war as ‘no more rules’.

If it were me, and my country was heavily invested in Ukraine via my foreign service and big investment corporations executing government investment objectives.... I would bleed them to last Ukrainian so nobody would have any future grievances over Western ownership of property....
But I would trash all the ast 200 years of European human rights turning back the clock,
to satisfy the slaughter.
Yup, the Euroweenies have a delima over past and present.
Since they are destroying the world order they will bleed the Ukrainian population. Just my guess.
