The records-keeping requirements of sarbox we incredibly onerous. When I was working at Oldcastle Materials in Spokane, I recall delivery of just a little more than a pallet's worth of paper so that the accounting hens could churn out the necessary reports. This took allegedly productive people out of play for a day or two in order to service these requirements. Then the whole works went back into the same boxes they came in to be scooped up and taken to Iron Mountain for storage. Talk about a Chinese fire drill.

Time wasted, expensive printer cartridges consumed, wear and tear on the printers - and we're talking about the big departmental HP printers. Everyone came out on the other side disgruntled and a day or two behind.
