trump's not so secret weapon (melania)?

i have a recurring surmise that melania could potentially be a much bigger political asset to DJT in the 2024 presidential election than she currently appears to be (log cabin republicans? how many of those are there btw??).

before dismissing it altogether, give it a chance. melania checks two or three big boxes that her husband does not-- consider: women, immigrants, catholics.

melania also provide an eastern european perspective which might even be deployed against the ukranian war funding.

trump's achilles heel if he has one (and discounting ever present massive vote fraud, which is beyond this scope) is the women's vote. discounting vote fraud, we are where we are today due to liberal women voters.

in history, wilson had his wife. fdr had his wife. most presidents since fdr had their wives.

not casting shade, but melania seemed to fade into the background somewhat during the last two elections. i concede she was visible, and even could be considered somewhat active. however, was she ever deployed for maximum political effect? this would in theory include trump taking a step away from the public eye for a moment and pushing melania to the center stage.

maybe it has already been done and i just missed it (possible). maybe it can be dismissed out of hand as impractical. or, maybe it can be dismissed due to lack of support by melania-- in which case, maybe melania's devotion to her family duties eclipsed whatever political duty she might have felt in the past.

it's also a potentially dangerous step since if the liberals are willing to jail trump (or worse), they could also be willing to jail melania.

so unfortunate as it sounds, it might not be a purely political decision.

otoh, melania is (at least, i imagine) a naturalized american citizen. as such, she presumably now owes some allegiance to the USA. I'm not proposing that I or anyone else should presume to make such a heavy decision on her behalf-- it should always be her decision alone without any external pressure one way or another-- but the stakes are somewhat high right now, and if she wanted to be more active politically, I for one would not take issue with it.

women seem better at following than at reasoning with healthy skepticism or leading. evolutionarily, this seems to have worked out in favor of our species overall.

this is probably true up until the 1920s when women gained voting rights.

what is not yet proven is whether or not western society can survive the women’s vote. if women consistently vote for abdicating more and more individual rights to an increasingly-powerful state then the outcome of post emancipation voting would be an all powerful state. i tend to look favorably upon heinlein’s solution, no voting rights unless one has honorably completed a modicum of service in the military (male or female).

I’m honestly starting to think that trump has bad lawyers

Seems the lawyers are more for show then substance

This jury selection in New York only confirms my fears about his lawyers being bad

I purchased and read his first book - The Art of the Deal...out in 1987. I read it but so long ago, I don’t remember much about it and I don’t recall any mention of political ambition. I don’t even remember why I was drawn to purchasing it.

I don’t have the book any longer. I gave it to a friend who had purchased a new home with a REAL library - wall to wall/ceiling to floor book shelves with a ladder to reach everything. He didn’t have a book on any of the shelves so I gave The Art of the Deal to him..It’s probably still on his book shelves and hopefully surrounded by other good reads.

I buy used books from thriftbooks.com - maybe I’ll see if I can find it for $3 or $4....would be interesting to read now.

All western nations will eventually lose the right to vote. It appears that 2016 was the last free election we had. Europe is going strong for now but that's only due to generous welfare states. But in a generation, they'll get conquered by either the Muslims or the Russians.

Israel is having issues. The IDF is solid. Bibi is tough. But the civilian population in Tel Aviv hates what the government is doing with their military in Gaza.

There is about as much chance of a “hung jury”, with these jurors, as there is of you being Trump’s VEEP choice.

Juries are easy to predict — unless you have experience of being on a jury or of trying cases before a jury. Sometimes, even against their own inclinations, personality clashes cause a jury to bicker to the point of being unable to agree unanimously on anything.

I am most concerned about the USA since it seems to be the lightning rod for globalist strikes. I recall reading that the USA will eventually succumb to illegal Latin American aliens, but this was a few years ago, and specifically before 2020. I wonder what if the prognosis remains the same today, with the borders essentially open to all.

The White Liberals are running the show. They are trying to manipulate the voters so they will have the predicted results in every election.

Legal and American born Hispanics are actually becoming Republican. Which is why you are seeing the Democratic Party importing voters. And yes, from other places such as Africa and China.
