UKRAINE has launched another blistering attack on one of Putin's key military airfields in occupied Crimea.
Dramatic footage shows blinding explosions erupting overnight as Kyiv's forces destroyed valuable ammunition stores in the blitz.
Ukraine launched it's overnight ambush above Dzhankoi airfield in northern Crimea.
The military base - a key hub for Russia - is used by Putin’s twisted forces to launch strikes on Ukraine.
Ukraine used US-made ATACMS long range missiles in the pinpoint strike.
Some of Putin's valued choppers are kept at Dzhankoi along with Russian S-300 and S-400 missile systems.
Missile alerts were only sounded after the first strike, meaning the Russians may have been taken by surprise in the successful ambush.
Six large fires raged at the airfield according to Crimean Wind Telegram channel.
The attack was so extensive a major highway in the area had to be closed down.
Even pro-Kremlin Mash news outlet said there had been “explosions in the sky” and acknowledged a fire blazing at the airfield.

🚀💥Regarding the strike on Dzhankoy, as well as first footage of the aftermath of the attack. Destroyed Russian S-400 air defence system equipment.
«Tonight, April 17, 2024, the military airfield of the 39th helicopter regiment of the 4th Air Force and Air Defense Army (military unit 46453, Dzhankoy) was attacked.
The photo shows the destroyed S-400 Triumph air defense system.
The strike was carried out by two MGM-140 ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles.
The first blow hit the positions of the S-400 Triumph air defense system. 3 launchers and radar were destroyed.
The second hit was at the point for receiving and repairing military equipment of the 77th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade (military unit 33742, Krasnodar Territory). At the time of the impact, two S-300 launchers (of an unknown modification) were being serviced at the point. Also, as a result of the impact at the point, a secondary detonation of ammunition occurred. What exactly exploded is unknown.
There is no information about damaged helicopters yet.

The Telegram channel of the “ZSU-War” released a picture of a destroyed Russian S-400 air defense unit.
The channel reports that the first wave of missiles destroyed the S-400 position. In detail, 3 launcher and the radar unit was destroyed, leaving the base defenseless against further missiles.
The 2nd wave destroyed the repair and maintenance hub of that airbase. Secondary explosions did their part in further compromising the Russian base in the occupied peninsula. No information regarding the status of the choppers in that base, yet.
Satellite pics should deliver the final confirmation of the extent of the destruction, which must be huge judging from the videos we have seen so far.

The fact is Russia continues to advance on the battlefield and the pace of those advances is picking up …that’s all that matters
