There is little doubt that the COVID-19 restrictions in place now have caused major disruptions in our daily life and have had negative economic impacts on California families, especially the working poor. But consider how much worse it would be if we in California hadn’t moved quickly to “flatten the curve.”
An out-of-control pandemic would rage through our state at numbers unimaginable and would have much more severe consequences on the health of Californians, as well as the economy.
Thankfully, California is once again leading the way by taking major measures such as shelter in place, physical distancing, orders to close schools, all done to protect our health and our economy. Contrast the progressive policies being undertaken in the Golden State with the slow responses to the virus in some other states in which their leaders don’t follow the guidance of the experts.

Well one the legacies of covid, is in the vernacular, the term "Karen".
Gee we might have faired as well as Sweden who didn’t do anything to flatten the curve.

It is a racist term and seems part of the effort to decivilize the public space and make white women cower and retreat even more from influence on the social decay.
Asking for the manager was always the proper way for a Lady or even a gentleman to do things.
Patty, Becky, Gail, Karen, I don’t think women with names like that are the causes of the female problems in public spaces, regardless of the small number of oddball cases that make it to the internet.

Instead of flattening the curve, what we should’ve done is flatten the liberal.

We did NOTHING to flatten the curve for MANY previous pandemics YET we survived our immune systems did what God intended them to do, NO ONE will ever convince me that this was NOT DONE deliberately to rid the world of Trump!! This was done by Fauci, and to the Deep State the end justified the means!! The FEAR PORN was out of control, Covid was NO DIFFERENT than the Hong Kong Flu YET schools open, businesses open, no masks, no shut downs, no 6ft. apart YES the vulnerable perished as they would under pandemic circumstances!! I believe people with Covid died needlessly being unnecessarily vented, put into nursing homes infecting others, going to hospitals unnecessarily, helpful medications DENIED to people WEF, governments are EVIL utterly EVIL and drunk with power!!

Two days after this came out, on May Day, the first big protest in the Southland against the lockdown took place at the Huntington Beach pier. The cops were lined up to prevent protesters from access to the pier, which was off limits to the public because of the lockdown. The pier has since seen many MAGA rallies, including a big one on New Years Eve, 2020, in defiance of a curfew imposed by Governor Newsom.

You also are confusing ‘cat lady’ the single women who goes home to her boxed wine and cat or cats and the isolated, barren, single life without romance or husband or children, and your mother (or now you or your dad) wanting the manager or the police to fix something in the public space, there is also the real, original ‘cat lady’ who is the neighborhood shut-in woman who takes care of a group of stray and feral cats and works with the local spaying cat organization.
