Watching those invaders at the border yesterday made me wonder why Americans are so adamant about the 2A. Armed LEO standing there, doing nothing. American citizens watching in outrage as their country is destroyed and invaded, and nobody does anything. The enemy is moving in their foot soldiers right under our noses, and we do nothing. Canada is the same, but we’re not known for our bravery or patriotism, at least to the degree Americans are.

who’s left? people that don’t believe anyone will have their backs. I’m in that crowd. look how bullying and middle-school people act here - few care, as long as they are in the “in” crowd. Nobody cares about principle and character anymore, except for a few of us. There’s not enough of us to set the country right again. Everybody else will be posting furiously, typing as fast and as hard as they can, while illegals walk off with their belongings.
Argentina might be the place to go. Foreigners can buy property there. And there are quite a few expats.
I do expect the locals here to fight back though. They have a defiant and old-fashioned nature, if their preachers tell them to resist, they will. That’s what keeps me here, I expect they’ll be like the Yugoslavian partisans in WWII, using the forests and terrain to gain an advantage. But without the Allies to back them up, the outcome might be similar (sadly after all their sacrifice, Yugoslavia was given to the communists as part of the deal with the US and England)

I kind of thought the “When you pry it from my cold dead hands” crowd would kick into action. I guess the bravado of the 2A doesn’t translate to defending the country.

Of course, we knew that when we saw him and Paul Ryan descending the stairs from the Speaker’s Office a few months ago.

I wondered about Johnson when he was elected. I figured they were pretty sure about him NOT being a fighter, or they never would have allowed him to be voted in.
I think it’s likely best to stay away from anyone who touts their “Christianity” as a selling point for a position that requires a warrior.
