New dating app requires good credit score to join

A new dating app called "Score" has been launched by financial services company Neon Money Club. Score is positioning itself as an app for financially responsible singles, requiring users to have a minimum credit score of 675 in order to join.

Mine is 850. I do not earn a lot but I have never bounced a check. I pay off the credit cards each month, always pay cash for vehicles, and mortgage was paid off within a few years.

I think it is not so much about earning a lot. It is about living within your means...Like drinking homemade wine and stuff.

Yep. 675 isn’t a good credit score. It should be at least 700.

The interview talks about “financial infidelity.”

But, a high credit score doesn’t guarantee someone is trustworthy.

Maybe Dave Ramsey should start a dating service for people with no credit score at all - which means they have no debt.

A long time ago when i worked in finance if you had 620 it was almost impossible to get a loan.

Today I know there has been score inflation so i don’t think 675 is very good.

I hit 850 for a while but since I no longer have a mtg my score is around 795, but whatever.

I have the original draft proposal that fair issac sent out for comment when they first proposed creating a credit score somewhere.

If the people who came up with this app had a brain, they’d let the pursuer choose the minimum acceptable credit score.

If women's past choices are any guide, the minimum would be 900, to go along with the 3-6+s requirements they already have.

They can then narrow the field from a fraction of a percent of the male population to a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the male population.
