Martin Luther King Jr., in his famous speech, had a vision that was, for a long time, woven into the American psyche: “I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.” However, the evolution of the relationship between the sons has been marked by complexity and adversity.
Since its establishment in January 1828, the Democrat party was the Party of Slavery, governed by Plato’s philosophy that it was right for the ‘better’ to rule over the ‘inferior.’
Neither the Emancipation Proclamation nor the ravages of the Civil War changed the slave owners’ moral convictions. Although the war had settled that blacks were human beings with souls—hence, eligible not just for physical freedom but also for constitutional equality—the Democrats would not allow the former slaves to get too far from their plantations.
For almost one hundred years after the war ended, all the Democrat party’s efforts would be devoted to elaborate political maneuvers to forestall the nightmarish scenario of blacks voting. Since the Republican Party was formed to abolish slavery and was the driving force behind liberating slaves, blacks were expected to vote overwhelmingly for Republicans.
At a moment of greatest weakness, the Democrat-dominated state legislatures passed the Black Codes, followed by Jim Crow laws that enacted racial segregation and a host of discriminatory measures that prevented the former slaves from voting. As Alabama Governor George Wallace Jr., infamously proclaimed in 1963, “Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, segregation forever!” There was no need for any other political or moral justification.

I wonder why this isn’t taught in school. Well, not really. I know why.
They broke blacks spiritually. Then they came as their saviours. Just like they are trying to do to whites.
There is another class of coloured people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Talk to anyone black in New York city who was “educated” under Randi Weingartens Marxist teachers union, all of them won’t believe you when you tell them Abe Lincoln was Republican.
I use to work for Poland Spring water in Brooklyn in the 1990s that had a lot of black employees, and besides them being barely able to read, their knowlege of history was completely warped, I was fascinated by this.
According to them, Democrats freed the slaves, Lincoln was a democrat, Republicans created the KKK, Republicans fought against Civil rights, Republicans killed MLK jr, Republicans did lynchings and the Republican party sits back and allows this crap in schools to go on like it’s one huge joke.
Any time you try to discuss these facts, the argument that “the parties flipped in the 1930’s” comes out. Ridiculous.

The premise is wrong. Blacks were generally Republicans until about the 1960s. The Democrats were cosidered the white southern party, the party of the KKK.
FDR started their migration, LBJ sealed it, but I don’t think it’ll last for the 100 years he projected.
The government continues to hold the carrot in front of their faces and they continue to reach for it, thinking one day they may get a bite.
The democRAT party needs a permanent underclass to vote for them. Otherwise they would not even exist.

Obama changed that mindset and convinced them to engage and glorify homosexual depravity. There is no such thing as a Black family. You have the right take, the switch was made in 1936, not the 1960s.
The switch was a complete and instant reversal, in 1932 the black vote was like it always had been, FDR got his 23% while the GOP got its over 70% which were typical numbers, but suddenly and permanently the black vote reversed itself in 1936 and FDR got over 70% and that was it.

In a way, he was the “great White father” to both Blacks and Whites. My liberal mother-in-law glorifies FDR. Her husband loved “Uncle Joe.” Don’t misunderstand. These nice people aren’t Marxists or communists, just Democrats.
I’ve never heard of anything like it, that is a massive reversal of a huge national voting block, how did they all get the message at the same time and what was the message that was so clear to all of them at the same time?
There was no gradual shift, no growing awareness, no shifting perceptions, just a big BOOM and they all switched.

I heard that “the flip” happened with Nixon’s “southern strategy.” That Nixon had a “southern strategy” seems to be all the proof that is required. I responded that all politicians have regional strategies, so what? The next time this comes up I may respond that yes, the Republicans now own the cotton plantations which they operate with Black slaves.
