Sad news.

Newsmax is now $50 per year, $5 per month.

I'm nickled and dimed to death. I watch their commercials, and now they want me to pay for the privilege.

No.

“$50 per year.
$5 per year.”

I’ll take the $5 per year one.

(Just kidding. I know you’re upset...I am too.)

I watch on Roku and sometimes on Pluto. It’s free. I’m not sure people will pay to watch them.

I have them in my DirecTV package and have been asking Sirius XM to give them a channel. I prefer them to Fox News.

The ‘free’ (really ad-supported) streaming money is running out for everyone. Everyone is going back to the old pay-to-play service model from the dawn of the commercial internet. Get used to it.

It’s almost as bad as Paramount+ that was commercial free in the beginning now It’s full of commercials. Also they say they are streaming all of the cbs games on Sunday but we got only one that was on regular tv.

Streaming is not worth the money any more.

Oh no, something you value, which other people put value and labor into, isn’t free? What a shame.

Would you like me to go ahead and get your Democratic Party registration forms ready for you? After all, if you feel entitled to it, that’s the party you belong in…

You could try Real America’s Voice channel.

They have free live streaming video at www.americasvoice.news

https://americasvoice.news/

They also are on Dish Network at channel 219.

If Newsmax is on your cable carrier, such as ATT or Comcast, it is still included in your monthly fee.
However, if you watch Newsmax on your phone or on Samsung TV or some such in a streaming manner , then you pay five dollars a month if you want to keep it.

There is a great shake up going on in all streaming.

They all originally thought they could be either subscription or ad based.

Neither model generates enough revenue to support original programming, which has become stupid expensive. This is the fallout from the recent strikes in Hollywood combined with the left’s push for increased wages, more benefits, and fewer hours. This, in conjunction with increased energy costs, also due to leftist policies, has driven inflation, which in turn, puts even more pressure on wages. Isn’t this fun!

Anyway, for all of you who complained about paying for cable channels you never watched…voila! Now you will pay individually for every channel or service you want to watch. Is this better? Maybe, if you didn’t watch that many channels in the first place.

I have been watching them for free for a while. They have improved greatly since I have started watching. The broadcasts are more professional than when they started. However, I think they need to hire staff to help them with dressing and grooming the reporters and guests...as well with prepping their linked guests with dressing, grooming and camera positioning for the “at home” shots. Sometimes the guests look like homeless people who just crawled out from under a wet piece of cardboard...that’s okay when they are real street people but not when they are current or past members of Congress or political candidates.

I’m not sure if I am ready to start paying...the advertising should pay for improvements and the viewer payments should go to profits.

My husband and I decided to sign up. They give you two weeks free (trial) prior to charging you. $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year - a savings of $10. When I received my confirmation email, they tagged on an 8% “processing” fee. That did not make me happy. I, too, feel nickeled and dimed. It truly is getting out of hand. We can thank Biden.
