Heh, just finished watching ‘88 Santa Clara
My four years we were 7th, 6th, 7th, 6th. Going back and forth with Suncoast Sound (Who don't even exist anymore.)
I’ve always liked Santa Clara, we were never a threat to each other, and didn’t meet that often, so we got along fine.
Always remember going to DCI in Birmingham, AL. Stopped at a Ponderosa Steakhouse, and just as I was about to get in line....in walks BD.

My son was a band kid in high school and his first year of college - I gained a lot of respect for what it takes to put on a show. A lot of respect for how much each performer has to do well beyond playing an instrument.

As we were coming off the field after halftime, the players actually got out of our way, and several of them said things like, "Dude, that's the loudest thing I've ever heard!"
Drum and Bugle Corps, not marching band. Whole nother animal. Whole nother level.
The Fag-A-Queers? All male Drum Corps. But who knows anymore? I see Madison Scouts is missing from Finals. too.

2. I already had three years with Spirit of Atlanta. Might as well stay for a fourth.
BD won that year. I'm very comfortable with the decision I made.
I actually have a drum head with the Blue Devils logo on it, along with a couple from Spirit.
