ESPN Monday Night Football analysts Suzy Kolber and Steve Young are among the more than 20 on-air hosts who have been laid off by ESPN in the last 24 hours.

Kolber announced that she had been laid off in a Twitter post, giving thanks for her 27 years with the company.

Today I join the many hard-working colleagues who have been laid off.

Heartbreaking-but 27 years at ESPN was a good run.

So grateful for a 38 yr career!

Longevity for a woman in this business is something I’m especially proud of.

Next step- a project that gives back. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/URitozP0LQ

People-I don’t understand why Joe Sixpack cares about what any of them have to say. That and a 23 year-old athlete. I just wanna watch the game, not hear ‘how does it feel?’ BS. Long overdue.

Now Erin Andrews at Fox. Please keep her. Airhead but who cares?

“ I remember when Suzy was the sports anchor for local CBS in West Palm. That was quite a few years ago.

I stopped watching when Kapernick made it his personal political forum. I never understood why the NFL went along with it, sacrificing long-time viewers. Once you lose the habit of just sitting there for three hours at a time essentially watching commercials, you never really get back into it. I’ve found other things to do.

The way I heard it, ESPN is profitable, and they’re cutting back here to cover losses in other parts of the company.

I’m guessing National Geographic was losing money...not sure though.
