I think your numbers are a bit off because you misread this passage from Wikipedia:
“Before 1917 there were 300,000 Zionists in Russia, while the main Jewish socialist organization, the Bund, had 33,000 members. Only 958 Jews had joined the Bolshevik Party before 1917; thousands joined after the Revolution.[13]: 565 The chaotic years of World War I, the February and October Revolutions, and the Russian Civil War had created social disruption that led to antisemitism.”
There were 300,000 ZIONISTS in Russia BEFORE 1917 - NOT JUST 300,000 Jews in Russia. There were 958 Jews IN the Bolshevik party when the revolution started and many more joined after its success.
Accuracy and precision matter.
A Wiki article is only as good as the sources cited. Which, with politically or historically controversial issues, is not very good.
Wiki is like modern journalism. They cherry pick sources to support a narrative. Cite those who support the narrative, ignore those who oppose the narrative.
You know the old computer term: GIGO. Garbage In, Garbage Out.
Zionism is not communism.
