Former FBI Director James Comey predicted on Sunday that former President Trump “could be wearing an ankle bracelet” when accepting the GOP nomination if he wins it in 2024, as the former president faces a number of legal challenges.
Comey said on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki” that he doesn’t “want to” but “could” envision Trump getting the Republican nod.
“I mean, it’s this crazy world that Donald Trump has dragged this country into, but he could be wearing an ankle bracelet while accepting the nomination at the Republican convention,” Comey said.
“You would be rejected if you put it in a script for a show, but you could have a president who is potentially incarcerated when he is elected president,” he added.
Trump if facing a slew of legal woes including an indicted on criminal charges in New York, and two Justice Department inquiries led by special counsel Jack Smith. A Georgia prosecutor is probing attempts to overturn the state’s election results in 2020, and Trump was also found liable last month for sexual abuse and defamation writer E. Jean Carroll.

Trump fired Comey as FBI director during his tenure at the White House in May 2017. Trump cited Comey’s handling of an investigation involving an email server belonging the Hillary Clinton while she was running as Trump’s opponent in the 2016 election even though it benefitted him politically.
Trump ultimately let Comey go over investigations involving Russia and Trump’s aides though Comey had informed Trump that he himself was not being probed.

Well they stole it when he was in power, and have had 4 years to refine their craft.
They are throwing their criminality in our faces. Comey should be the one in prison, right now. But not one anti-American leftist marxist democrat is even being charged. Money laundering, inside trading, weaponizing FBI/DOJ, illegal wiretaps, pay for play, censorship of opposing political views and yet, it is only Republicans and Trump being investigated and charged. Oh well, my lifted truck payment and mortgage are due. Guess I’ll go to work.
People with pure hearts and no strange (or latent) desire to dominate or persecute their fellow man are finding other vocations. Leaving behind “problem” individuals whom the bureau apparently is happy to attract.

That would be over the top and, yes, would help Trump. That they’d do it to promote Trump is the real concern. The only way Trump wins the nomination, then lose the election is for these folks to continually persecute him, including talk of an ankle bracelet. They’ll go laughing all the way to a Democrat win.
Comey is the one needing to be wearing an ankle bracelet, but, more to the point, he should be in prison for condoning and allowing the Steel dossier to be used by democrats to try to undo Trump’s presidency. That’s a very serious crime and one that should still be prosecutable. When Trump gets in, he should have his DOJ pursue charges against Comey Perhaps that’s what scares Comey the most, and why he wants to stop Trump so badly.
