The author accurately invokes Marcuse as the source of this celebration of the transgressive, and some of the antics of his buddies in the Frankfurt School - Wilhelm Reich and his hypersexual Orgone Energy scam are a case in point - are right in line with the overall drive to undermine society by attacking its norms. Extending that to an attack on capitalism is ridiculous on its face - sex sells, and "forbidden" sex sells at a premium. That was always a rationalism anyway - the somewhat cynical conclusion that it's more a case of perverts looking out for their own enjoyment turns out to be true, and wrapping the thing in such high-toned academic pretensions as Queer Theory is laughably thin cover.

Drag Queen Story Hour is, as its critics insist, a recruiting tool and an avenue for access to children that its proponents would not normally (there's that word again) enjoy, as the honest among those proponents will occasionally admit. It isn't a drive for acceptance, it's a drive for participation. Preaching to the choir here, I suppose.

I agree. Drag Queen Story Hour is not just crazy people, it is a highly organized effort to destroy the norms of society and to use people in positions of authority to warp the values of children. What the parents of these children are thinking completely escapes me. They have no concept of the continuity of their genetics. They have been virtue signaled into accepting dead-ender ideology.
