Investigators are exploring the possibility that more than one person is behind the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students, which have sent shockwaves through the small college town of Moscow.
Four days on from the murders, the killer or killers remain at large with no arrests made and no suspects named.
Moscow Police Chief James Fry admitting on Wednesday: “There is a threat out there still”.
Authorities in Moscow, Idaho, have released very few details about what happened to the four University of Idaho students who were murdered last weekend.
Police have cautioned the small town of 25,000 people to remain vigilant as perhaps more than one suspect remain at large.
Moscow police revealed at a press conference on Wednesday that the two other roommates were present in the home at the time of the killings and were left unharmed.
Police Chief Fry said that the roommates were not necessarily witnesses to the crime. It is not clear if the other two roommates slept through the attack or why authorities were not called until noon, about eight hours after the murders.
Moscow Building Supply general manager Scott Jutte told the Idaho Statesman that a police officer stopped by the retailer more than once this week to inquire about the possible sale of a KA-BAR brand combat blade.

No, supposedly there were two others in the house, beside the victims, who were not injured.
There are 2 survivors from this attack. What is their story?
It said yesterday that they know the identity of who made the call. This is truly an absolutely bizarre case seemingly led by the keystone cops.
Apparently the 2 survivors were in the basement, either sleeping or unable to get out with the door blocked.
It’s possible to kill 4 people in total silence with a knife. It’s happened before. A gun may be used to intimidate but not be fired. The killer holds one person hostage with a gun or a knife at his/her throat, ordering a 2nd to tie up and gag the other 2.
Then the killer holds the knife to one of the bound prisoners, and orders the 3rd to tie up the 4th. The last unbound prisoner, the weakest and least threatening, is tied up by the killer.
All the while he’s promising it’s just a robbery, they will be able to get unbound after he leaves, just be quiet...
Once they are tied up slightly, he can tie them up very securely, and ensure their gags are effective.
Then he is free to torture and knife them one at a time, to increase the terror of the others.
It’s a work of pure evil. I hope the police find him or them very fast. It’s not a one-off crime.

When she opened it, a tall man, dressed in black, his face pockmarked with acne scars, was pointing a gun at her.

She said the stranger was not going to harm anyone; all he wanted was cash for a trip to New Orleans. When the three nurses emerged from the closet, they found the man and the American nurses sitting in a circle on the floor. He was holding a gun on them.
Other dorm residents — Gloria Davy, 22, Mary Ann Jordan, 20, and Suzanne Farris, 21 — walked in on the hostage scene later and immediately became part of it. The women thought he was going to take their money and leave until he pulled out a knife and started ripping bed sheets into strips, wrote Dennis Breo and William Martin in “The Crime of the Century.” He used those strips to bind hands and feet and gag his captives.

On December 14, the brothers broke into a house at 12727 E Birchwood Drive in Wichita. Inside the property, which they had chosen at random, were Brad Heyka, Heather Muller, Aaron Sander, Jason Befort, and his girlfriend, a young woman identified as “Holly G.”. Befort was a local high school teacher; Heyka was a director of finance with a local financial services company; Muller was a local preschool teacher; Sander a former financial analyst who had been studying to become a priest; Holly G. was a teacher.[5]
First, the Carrs searched the house for valuables. Befort had intended to propose to Holly, and she found this out when the Carrs discovered an engagement ring hidden in a popcorn box. After burgling the house, the Carrs forced their victims to strip naked and bound them. The brothers then repeatedly raped the two women and forced the men to engage in sexual acts with the women and the women with each other. After taking the victims in Befort’s truck to ATMs to empty their bank accounts, they drove them to the closed Stryker Soccer Complex on the outskirts of Wichita, where they shot all five execution-style in the back of their heads. The Carrs then drove Befort’s truck over their bodies and left them for dead. Holly G. survived because her plastic barrette deflected the bullet to the side of her head. She walked naked for more than a mile in freezing weather to seek first aid and shelter at a house. Before getting medical treatment, she reported the incident and descriptions of her attackers to the couple who took her in before the police arrived.
After the killings, the Carrs returned to the house to ransack it for more valuables; while there, they used a golf club to beat Holly’s pet dog, Nikki, to death.[6]

I remember Speck case well. I heard about it on the news when it happened.

In “The Wichita Horror,” the 2 evil Carr brothers were able to bind and manipulate the innocent victims at will.
Now the Idaho police are saying there may have been 2 killers. 2 makes it easier to hold hostages, tie them up, etc.
Absolute evil. Yes, the community is in danger. The killer did not just happened to drive off from a main highway way and just happened to run across a house that contained a number of single females. He/they knew where to go. They were stalked.
This famous CT double murder was a case of stalking.
Your family members must be trained in “surveillance detection,” especially when returning home from public places like supermarkets where any creep can size them up and decide to victimize them. If they suspect they are being followed, they must not go home, but somewhere safe. Or at least do some “surveillance detection” turns to be certain if they are being followed or not.
