LBJ was corrupt, lacked any ethics, and hated the Kennedys.

LBJ was one mean demented sob. There is nothing he would not do to get his way. He and the Kennedy’s positively hated each other. There were enemies aplenty to go around including LBJ, the MOB, Cubans of all sorts, probably Hoover. The list is a very long one.
The old man Joe Kennedy saw to it one of his sons was president and Giancana helped him do it by delivering votes in Chicago along with the Chicago machine. They were all involved in making it happen. Giancana even had names for the Kennedy’s, Bobby was BOOB ie.
LBJ was a ruthless bully. He would hold other congressmen and senators by the lapel while he persuaded their vote and kicked them with the sides of his sharpened cowboy boots leaving their ankles bloodied.
