Can you imagine what it would be like to literally starve to death? Most Americans believe that if a nuclear war with Russia actually happens the vast majority of the U.S. population will be instantly wiped out. But that is not what the science says. What the studies have shown is that only about 20 percent of the U.S. population will be instantly killed during a nuclear exchange. If you live near a military base or some other highly strategic target you will probably be among that 20 percent. Otherwise, it is likely that you will starve to death during the horrifying “nuclear winter” that follows.
A brand new study that was just released has concluded that average global temperatures would immediately drop by a whopping 13 degrees following a full-blown nuclear exchange…
Firestorms would release ash and smoke into the upper atmosphere that would block out the Sun, resulting in crop failure around the world, according to researchers from Louisiana State University. In the first month following these catastrophic detonations, average global temperatures would plunge by about 13 degrees Fahrenheit, more than during the most recent Ice Age.
With much less sunlight reaching the Earth, the food chains in our oceans would collapse very rapidly…
The sudden drop in light and sea temperatures, especially from the Arctic to the North Atlantic and North Pacific, would kill algae — the bedrock of the marine food web.
Researchers said that fishing and aquaculture would be halted by the creation of ‘essentially a famine in the ocean.’ And as average temperatures plummeted, very little would be able to be grown for an extended period of time….

So am I, thanks.
I suspect these studies are gibberish filled with bad assumptions. A single modest volcanic eruption like Mt. St. Helens in 1980 puts as much dust into the atmosphere as a major nuclear exchange. And that does lead to a slight drop in temps (0.6 degrees if I recall correctly) but not the 13 degrees mentioned.
Even something like Tambora in 1815 that led to “the year without summer” caused widespread hunger, but not mass starvation of the sort they are claiming. And that was with much more limited food stocks and supply mechanisms than we have today.
People won’t just lie around and wait helplessly to starve. Well, maybe the indigents that make up the Democrat base. But the rest of us have substantial food stores, various abilities to adapt and raise our own food (or forage or hunt at need), slaughter livestock (providing both food and freeing up animal feed that, in a real crisis, could supplement food stores), abandon the practice of 40%+ wasted food we experience today, and ration our supplies (since most people eat too much daily anyway.)
It’s written about the powers of the days the writers lived in. It’s written so vaguely that it can be bent and stretched into whatever the reader wants it to be and has been appli d to every time and kingdom since it was written.
Actually, how many very much matters. This is a large country. Your initial statement was a pretty definitive claim.
Oh well. Just wanted to ask.
Good luck.
Interesting information but the guy has to update his coding, as well as creating better organization for his webpage.

[Excerpt:]
“Until the latest of our world conflicts, the United States had no armaments industry. American makers of plowshares could, with time and as required, make swords as well. But now we can no longer risk emergency improvisation of national defense; we have been compelled to create a permanent armaments industry of vast proportions. Added to this, three and a half million men and women are directly engaged in the defense establishment. We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations.
This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence-economic, political, even spiritual—is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development.”
EMP strikes wouldn’t be all that bad for civilians, either. Here’s a paper to dispel some of the hysterical myths.

You are part of the cadre of pro Russian Patriots here who romanticize the destruction of the US. So in this case, yes it is.
It’s another thing to call someone unpatriotic for disagreeing with the overthrow of Ukrainian Democracy
I'm calling you unpatriotic because you side with America's historic mortal enemy.
Our U.S. government conducted around 1,054 nuclear tests, and look at us. We’re still here.
Yeah seen that site a decade ago. Nothing new.
As far as your prognosis on the Russian missiles - you better hope you are right, if it comes to that.
“Abstract
Purpose: This article is devoted to the analysis of the concepts of self-defense in the criminal law of Russia and the USA. The Russian Federation has developed a negative law enforcement practice in the field of implementation of the norms on necessary defense. Persons protecting themselves and their loved ones from criminals and causing harm to criminals who commit an attack are often prosecuted for violating the principle of proportionality of defense and attack, which under current law qualifies as exceeding the limits of necessary defense.”

There was a graphic at a place I once worked - and there was no sq ft not covered by a nuke explosion. How many doesn’t matter if the yield is large enough. Back then it was 20-30mt each as I recall. Warheads by the 100s.
I thought nuclear winter had been debunked.🤔
