Joe Rogan voiced his support for "the deep state" - a conspiracy theory peddled by Donald Trump and his followers that refers to a secret network of career politicians and federal agents - on a Saturday episode of his podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience."
In an interview with former CIA officer Mike Baker, Rogan made his case. "One of the things that the tinfoil-hat brigade likes to talk about is the deep state," he said.
"They always like to talk about the deep state. What I was saying is, what if we didn't have a deep state?" he continued. "Do you know how f-ed we would be if we didn't have career politicians and career intelligence agencies? People who are there for a long period of time who do understand it."
Rogan argued that President Joe Biden exemplifies the need for a government staffed by several experienced civil servants.
"Listen, I've disrespected Joe Biden enough, I don't think I should do it anymore," he stated. "I've said enough about him being mentally incompetent. He's just compromised, he's an old guy. We know, everyone knows, the guy is falling apart."
If Biden was the sole person in charge, Rogan said, his administration would become a dictatorship.
"But imagine if he really was the only say in how things run, and how things go? If he really was a dictator," he proposed. "We would be beyond f-ed!"

You don't rid the army of grunts. You change out the generals who shape the institution and tell the enlisted how far, and where to march.
So now the Swamp is the good guys. Sigh. This is what happens when you seek intelligent commentary from a clown. They always disappoint.
Rush did it successfully for 30+ years, but he mixed-in many different parts of political/social/culture with it.
There is a difference between the deep state and career politicians and career intelligence agencies.
The difference is career politicians and intelligence agencies, have experience doing their jobs, but they are committed to the constitution and democratic processes. So they are willing to work under a President whose policies they may not agree with.
Deep State on the other hand, think they are in charge. And they actively fight against a freely elected President, not because constitutional processes are at state, but simply because they think they know better and don’t like the policies that the American people voted for.
“ would suggest that his 12/31/21 interview with Dr. Robert Malone…”
Ya. Heard a couple of minutes of it. Dr M using foul expressions
Three hours?
No.
I hear much from dr Malone on other broadcasts.
This is what battered wife syndrome looks like.
She keeps coming back for another beating because she “really loves him”.....
I don’t listen/watch Rogan often.
Is this one of his ‘rhetorical’ segments being misreported by MSN?
Again, this IS coming from MSN...
Joe Rogan literally smokes dope and rambles into a microphone, for a living.
I will explain what I like about the Joe Rogan Experience. First of all, I am 58.
Joe Rogan lets his guests talk, literally for HOURS. Most interviews are over two hours long. Some over three. So, when you take ONE sentence out of a two to three hour interview, it is BS. Also, they drink booze and smoke pot and cigars during the interviews.
Joe does not have to worry about offending his advertisers like all the MSM does. There are no commercial breaks. There are no commercials at all.
Unlike other podcasts, Joe is not trying to sell me something like so many of the people on Rumble. Like “And We Know” or others selling end of the world supplies.
Joe has a wide variety of people that appeal to a lot of younger people. Especially, younger men. He is a stand up comic by trade. He also is a big MMA & UFC fan. Many of his guests are stand up comics. So, he is not an authority on anything.
The reason he is important is that his podcasts reach 12 million views. This makes his Nielson ratings higher than anything on Cable TV including Tucker. His ratings are higher than almost every show on broadcast TV except NCIS, Oprah interviews, some World Series games, and the Super Bowl.
Careful who you hitch your wagon to.
Joe ain’t too bright. He sometimes has interesting guests. I’ll leave it at that.
Of course...I painted with a completely broad brush.
We do have people on our side who fight back (and Trump was one of them!) but we don’t have the coordinated government-media-entertainment-education conglomeration that they leverage.
But yes, you are correct. Rush did indeed fight back.
Joe is confused about long serving government officials with the best interests of their constituents in mind and those who simply wish to push globalization, retain power and accumulate wealth at the expense of innocent, unsuspecting folks.
Maybe before you judge Joe Rogan based on ONE SENTENCE taken out of context you might want to consider the source of this article:
MSM
Secondly, maybe watch the entire interview with Mike Baker (FORMER CIA employee). Does anyone ever actually retire from the CIA? Consider the source.
I took this statement when I watched the entire interview more as a testament to the career federal government employees that actually run the government. Not the DEEP state who work against the POTUS to obstruct his policy.
He was actually saying that it was a good thing to have people in government that knew what they were doing because Joe Biden is such a Brain dead idiot who has dementia.
MSM is trying to SPIN a statement to get people to turn away from watching Joe Rogan because they are afraid of him. Based on some of the comments on this thread, it appears to be working.
I used to think that there were some critical thinkers on Free Republic.
You caught that too, eh? I really don’t know much about Joe Rogan, but it sounds like someone in the Deep State gave him an offer he couldn’t refuse.
I’m 70 years and listen for the same reasons. Low pressure interview.
William Shatner is another good host. His interview with Randy Weaver’s daughter Sarah was a hard one...
I like Joe, he’s like one of the boys you want to have a beer (or joint) with and shoot the bull. But let’s face it, he’s not exactly the smartest guy in the world.
Nah...critical thinking left about the same time black boots left the Army.
They do have “information dominance”, despite our best efforts.
