Cat food: I’m not a cat, I’m not a cow. Seriously, y’all, stop it!

Cream cheese: Yuck!

Pasta shells: What’s wrong with spaghetti?

Cinnamon rolls: Haven’t had one of those for years. At least they’re made with real cinnamon.

Cold remedies: I get mine directly from India. No problem.

There is no shortage of that in my local Walmart.

I looked on amazon and they are price gouging on tgel. One vendor is charging $71/bottle. I use tgel maybe once a month if I’m feeling dry and itchy so I only buy a bottle once every two or so years. Good luck!

It’s not that they couldn’t make some rotalini or whatever and ‘think’ of it as just reshaped shells. Pasta is pasta....spaghetti is pasta...

Ours have a well rounded diet. They eat processed cat food, the juice drained from tuna cans, nibbles from our plates and wiggly critters from outside.

Thank you for sharing that, I grew up in a very small town with the sole store being just like that. It sure makes you appreciate the true current abundance we really do have.

Things could be worse, much worse, and we better buckle up because they just might get much worse soon. We are going to have to learn to live without our Charmin and Grey Poupon.

Whoever thought up grocery delivery is a genius.

I'm 78...I can do delivery from Walmart....but like to get out a bit so do pick up. It's winter here in Upstate NY and both the car and myself need a little exercise.

Aldi is around the corner and go almost every day and get a couple things. My Aldi mission this week is fresh cherries for $2.99/lb.. The grapes from Aldi have been awesome, too. Freeze the grapes...what a treat!!

We can get Barilla’s around here, but noticed the boxes are now 12 ounces. I am pretty sure they were 16 ounces just a few months ago.

“it turns out tuna is loaded with taurine. :)”

Really? That’s great! I never even thought to look.

Our pate’-loving cats only get about 1 Tbs./day for a treat. Otherwise, they love their dry kibble.

Kraft went off the deep end with their cream cheese shortage and paying people to not make cheesecakes over the holidays. What a crock. Smelled of getting new recipe ideas.

I hadn’t made a cheese cake in years but made one just to spite Kraft. It was half Great Value brand and half homemade yogurt. Normally, they’re 100% homemade yogurt but threw in the GV brand just because.

Sardines contain virtually no mercury and among the safest fish you can eat (with regard to mercury level).

Sardines do not contain all the nutrients necessary for a well balanced cat diet. They're a good supplement, but not suitable as a complete food.

Also, to the best of my knowledge, a long term, steady diet of fish tends to cause urinary problems in male cats.

All of this makes me wonder how cats survived the millions of years before humans made them pets and started formulating food for them.

All of this makes me wonder how cats survived the millions of years before humans made them pets and started formulating food for them.

They hunted and ate meat. Mostly small critters like mice. (Hence the popularity of barn cats in our area).

Humans came along and developed the dry, crunchy food. It's terrible but cheap.

The good thing about cats not hunting their own food is they are likely indoor only cats and live much longer lives.

Yeah, that happened to us yesterday, no pasta shells in the Super Duper Grocery Store. It is a rare thing to have here, so we just got the Ziti, or Penni, whatever they are calling it now. Maybe we can have stuffed shells next Summer or something.

Here is a strange one. Maybe it was just the way it was told.

Went to Rib Crib for a burger. No onion rings because of a recall three weeks ago. Why is that cause for no onion rings now and when will they ever get any in the future.

Oh the huge Manatee!

Can't help with over easy eggs but there are dozens of substitutes for baking. Apple sauce or any fruit sauce, bananas, buttermilk, yogurt, soy products, baking powder, baking soda, chia nuts and even bean broth.

Vegan Meringues made with garbanzo bean liquid.
