The figures quoted for India appear correct when considering the adult population eligible for the vaccine. Figures quoted by you seem to include those ineligible for the vaccine, I.e. children.

I double checked my numbers using Reuters graphics. According to them, 61.9% of India’s population above the age of 18 has received at least 1 shot. In fact, they currently don’t give the vaccine to kids under 18.

The United States reports that 74.2% Americans (age 5 and above) have had at least one shot.

The UK reports that 77.5% have had at least 1 shot, which includes 12 and up in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland; England includes children as young as 2.
