On Monday night, Jon Gruden informed the team that he will resign as the team’s head coach after a New York Times piece was written in regards to emails he sent back in 2011.
The piece showed a number of concerning emails with vulgar criticism directed at Roger Goddell, President Barack Obama and more. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders received word of these emails on Friday but did not take action over the weekend.
Instead, Gruden coached on Sunday against the Bears in what was his final game as the coach for the Raiders. The news was first reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero via his Twitter account.

Is he being kicked out of the NFL for the email insulting Goodell?
Some newly-unearthed ones apparently, from the 2011 NFL lockdown. Gruden admits he was ticked off at the situation and sent some pretty hot-headed emails.
Were these emails using an NFL account? How do they have legal access?

I thought I read the NFL was going through emails because of what happened to the Washington Football Team?
I worked with Jon several decades ago. He took really good care of me as one of the youngest people on the staff. Always thankful for him taking me under his wing.

I think the emails were uncovered as part of examination of franchise emails of The Washington Football Club over a workplace investigation. Something like 650,000 emails examined and these beauties were in the pile.
How can he be so stupid? Now he is cancelled.
Supposedly the NFL was investigating the Deadskins and found the emails. Gruden must have sent them to someone in the organization (Jay Gruden) and were archived on their server.

What is this NF League, and who is this chief Gruden and his Raiders tribe?
Yes, but at the time Gruden was not an NFL coach. So why were his emails discoverable? He sent them to an NFL employee?
