Traditionally, whoever wanted to have freedom operating in Islamic “palestine” areas, one would have to propagate for them. That goes for particular AP journalists, NYT who are in the area.

It is often convenient for supervisors to be co-located with their employees to ensure that the employees are doing their jobs correctly.
Most Western countries representatives, Press organizations, educational facilities (UNWRA) and all the rest historically have looked the other way and either directly and indirectly worked in conjunction with terror groups or terror armies in order to remain embedded where they work.
AP, like other Press agencies will do and agree to anything as long as they remain on the ground to carry out their “work”.
If that means turning a blind eye to Arab/Palestinian terror then fine, at least they go the “scoop” or inside story.
As long as Jews are the target then cooperating with HAMAS/Hizbollah/Islamic Jihad, etc. is fine.
Once the Israelis knock out (in self-defense, this is a war is it not?) a command and control center hidden (with full knowledge of agencies like AP) then it is fair game so all those who condemn Israel who do not live under these extreme conditions of missiles raining down in their cities please do your research to figure out what is actually going on there calling for a “Free Palestine” of which Gaza is not.
