They had no way to know Twitter would suddenly blackball Trump, the WH, Walkaway, and numerous other conservative accounts with huge numbers of followers, or else they'd have taken extra steps earlier to handle this tsunami.
And don't forget the major conservative accounts like Rush & Levin & others, who voluntarily followed the exiles into twitter exile, taking their followers with them ... once again, mostly to gab and parler.
Also, Amazon's stab-in-the-back of Parler drove all of those locked-out users to temporarily look elsewhere for conservative-friendly social media, adding even more traffic to Gab.
On the bright side, Twitter & FB worshippers should now have the fastest response time they've ever seen, what with the huge traffic decrease. Woohoo!! (if you're a twitterholic)

FR absolutely needs to protect itself. The left cuts this,it would be devastating (at least for most of us). This forum of news and conservative intellect is priceless. I also think FR needs to localize more in Freeper meetings like the "old days".
Mixed about SIGNAL
Twitter exec years ago left to help start SIGNAL especially with IT Security development. It’s reported SIGNAL is monitored by Twitter. Maybe, maybe not.

The Cloudflare ‘network’ provides ‘protection’ from Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, among other cybersecurity ‘features’. In other words, for me to get to a server within their network, I have to go through THEIR front door.
This error was saying that the domain name couldn’t be resolved (to an IP address). That said, gab.com seems to be back up (at least for me). This might have been Gab moving to a different set of servers and the DNS servers hadn’t caught up.
Either way, the lesson here is to have NOBODY between you and an IP address - the thing is, all internet networks are controlled by corporations. If the tech giants can exert enough influence, they may be able to block whomever they want.
I fear what is coming.
