Texas GOP chair calls for a 'union of states,' and the left has a cow

Texas GOP chair Allen West is calling for a civil society association of states to right some glaring wrongs on this past election. Last thing in the world he's calling for is what the left is screeching is "secession."

After the Supreme Court refused to even hear the great Texas-plus-18-states request for legal relief on participating in a clearly fraud-tainted national election, a pall descended on a lot of the U.S.

The chairman of the Texas GOP suggested this as a post–legal shutout remedy:

The Supreme Court, in tossing the Texas lawsuit that was joined by seventeen states and 106 US congressman, has decreed that a state can take unconstitutional actions and violate its own election law. Resulting in damaging effects on other states that abide by the law, while the guilty state suffers no consequences. This decision establishes a precedent that says states can violate the US constitution and not be held accountable. This decision will have far-reaching ramifications for the future of our constitutional republic. Perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.

We kept it for 244 years. It took that long for America to produce America's Worst Generation, stupid enough to throw away their priceless and fragile heritage. All the previous generations valued and preserved it: America's Great and Heroic Generations!

The seven Supreme Court justices who failed are appropriate representatives of America's Worst Generation.

Theirs was a responsibility comparable to that of the American boys who walked directly into machine gun fire on the beaches of Normandy in 1944 to save the United States and the world, their charge as great though far less courage or wisdom required.

They failed.

Actually, every single state has the right to secede, just not unilaterally, as Lee'sGhost pointed out in post number 5. Like I said before, countries much older and with vastly more history than the US, have fallen apart and new countries created all over the world. In the past 40 years alone, The Czeck Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Slovenia, have been created from the breakup of Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia alone . We haven't even started talking about the massive 15 countries created from the former USSR yet. If the USSR can break up, every country can break up if outlaw regimes are installed through massive ballot stealing facilitated by lawless BLM/ANTIFA brownshirts and violence.

“What a state (or states) can do, however, is begin the process of seeking a mutually agreed upon parting of the ways, and that process clearly exists, set forth by the U.S. Supreme Court in its 1868 ruling in Texas v. White. That ruling concluded that a state (or states) could secede by gaining approval of both houses of Congress and then obtaining ratification by three fourths of the nation's legislatures. In other words, it's a tough task.”

They have targeted us from within-and part of this incremental targeting process is the erasure of our history, culture, and economic system from the face of the world.

Which is why they have used COVID to try to cancel every holiday this year.

I don’t trust the one vote per state to go for Trump either even with the majority of states being republican dominated.

Yes, there is a way for any state to break the pact, but Texas does not ‘have the right’ to secede. The chances of the US Congress voting to let Texas go are nil at best.

I think that a trustworthy republican in the house should introduce a bill of impeachment against, K, G and ACB for derelection of duty, in creating a constitutional crisis by ignoring Article VII [The Ratification of the Conventions of nine States, shall be sufficient for the Establishment of this Constitution between the States so ratifying the Same.]; Article III section 2 [The judicial Power shall extend to all Cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States...;] and [In all Cases a... in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction.]

The dems would convict because this would be a dream come true and the constitutional conservatives on principal. The only holdouts would be the in the tank for the CCP RINOs.

I remind folks of the little known Article VII of the constitution: The Ratification of the Conventions of nine States, shall be sufficient for the Establishment of this Constitution between the States so ratifying the Same.

It is a free and voluntary compact between the States. If the States wish to disolve the government so formed and form a new government under a renewal of the same compact that is a matter between the contracting parties. The SC already ruled that it has no interest in enforcing the bargain.

And I am in full agreement. Why would Texas want to associate with what is left of Amerika. There is no reason.

TEXAN FOR #TEXIT

You are correct, sadly it seems as the establishment RINO’s are willing to throw away our Constitution and Laws because “they” believe that the “end will justify the means”.

To be sure, when you hire YOURSELF as a the Chief of DEVIL SLAYERS, you must always CREATE a DEVIL to ensure you stay gainfully employed.

In this case, they have declared 80 Million voters and their Leader (Trump) as the “devil”.

I just don’t want the infection to spread.

I say, seal them off and nobody gets in or out.

Let them deal with this themselves and the right, whom they so despise, should offer NO help at all.

In a month, deal with anyone who managed to survive.

Talk is cheap.

Until Texas gets its fiscal house in order, it ain’t going anywhere.

It can’t afford it.

We have to fight these lockdown diktats with everything we have or lose our rights as Americans forever. If we allow these power drunk Democrats to use a relatively minor disease like coronavirus to take away our constitutional rights and carry out ballot fraud on a massive scale, we are finished as a republic.
I think one of President Trump's biggest mistakes was not sacking Fauci, and allowing Fauci to push the crazy lockdown diktats.

As at now.
If we are lucky, the Dems will continue with their crazy far left policies and lose more and more seats in the congress in coming years.
Unless America bucks human history, the odds of America remaining as one country in its current form, over the coming decades and centuries, is really low.
I don't see that Americans as any different from other countries, not after the mass lawlessness and massive ballot theft that we just witnessed this year.

If the corrupt megapolitan areas want to confiscate firearms or cheat in elections or have no immigration laws whatsoever, let them do it on their own turf.

Expel them. The law abiding states keep the US government, fix it, but expel the Cheaters.

It really is pointless to look at law with this, no way any state would be given permission to leave. If the time comes, you just prep for consequences and leave.

But there must be some process on the Texas side.
I’m interested in what it is?

Referendum...state legislature bill...governor EO?

I agree. Given the deep divides on Right and left I don’t doubt we will end up as (at least) two separately governed countries.
