Yeah, “over capacity” strikes me as odd. I work on systems with a very large user base, and expect Twitter would have ENORMOUS on-demand excess capacity. They know something of this scale will happen on occasion, most likely at times they _really_ don’t want to be down (major news events). I saw the “over capacity” too, and am not buying it.

Well there’s my “feel good” story of the day.
Hopefully many thousands of people have independently figured out how to bypass the censors (using different words to fool them and linking to un-banned sites with the same data as banned sites).
The censor function would be struggling to keep up as lefties report the work-arounds one tweet at a time.

Sure, 4chan can pull off such stunts. I just don’t see them doing this, now. Far more likely Twitter is doing it to themselves, trying to handle the censorship - while knowing they’re gonna have to explain it next week to Congress.
My cat has a Twitter account. Part of Cats of Twitter. Her account is running very slowly. She tried to tweet just now about her harrowing trip to the vet and Twitter hemmed and hawed and finally said they were running very slowly.
As of now, Twitter.com only partially loads for me. An hour ago, I was reading the President’s Tweets. Something is happening. DDOSed?
I have read that adding black boxes to images mess with the AI.
